Literally tuned in for the last minute as I had a feeling this was going to happen. Literally 30 seconds after turning the TV on.
Coincidence IMO. Just don't see the connection between City ending a slump with that late win in Anfield and Arsenal drawing two matches in a row. City's poor form had to end at some point. But nevertheless, the net result is the title race is fully on. City even getting lucky by playing Newcastle 3 days after Newcastle had a match in Kazakhstan, while Arsenal getting Spurs under a new manager.
Arsenal only won 2 of their last 7 league games, they lost 1 and draw 3. Also, it's the first time in the EPL that a team starting the day at the bottom has avoided defeat against a team at the top of the table after trailing by two goals or more. It's amazing, they could had 9 points lead but they bottled it and looks like the gap is about to be only 2 points.
Nottingham Forest is 17th in the premier league table, just 3 points out of relegation, and yet they're smoking Fenerbahce in Istanbul 3-0. It's crazy how much the disparity has grown
🚨🚨 El Juez Único de Competición respalda al @RealOviedo y desafía a LaLiga por el aplazamiento del partido en Vallecas❌ No reconocen la nueva fecha del 4 de marzo🤨 Niegan las competencias de @LaLiga 📻 @DeportesCopeA https://t.co/FI7uDwtIUh— DeportesCOPEAsturias (@DeportesCopeA) February 19, 2026 A judge has ruled in favor of Real Oviedo and against Javier Tebas and La Liga in their postponement of Oviedo's match against Rayo. La Liga suspended the match after pleas from Rayo as a result of the state of their pitch. Although this could've been decided well ahead of time and with potential alternate venues, La Liga postponed it just hours before kickoff and has attempted to reschedule it in March. Tebas has announced that La Liga will appeal the decision, but ultimately this could lead to Oviedo being awarded the 3 points. A potential big swing in the relegation fight
Why would Oviedo be awarded 3 points? They will just play the match sometime over the next couple of months, no?
Because why should Oviedo have to accommodate for Rayo’s incompetence to have a feasible ground to play in on the scheduled matchweek? The team and fans were all there in Madrid ready to play hours before the match was supposed to kick off. And as the courts have noted, why should La Liga have the authority to unilaterally decide that for Oviedo?

What happened to good sportsmanship? I guess I don't know the details. Just know that a whole slew of matches was postponed that same weekend in Spain.

We benefit from being in what is effectively a two-horse league. With our current roller coaster football, we already labor against teams like Elche, Osasuna, Celta, etc. and lose more games than we should. In the EPL, our inconsistency, combined the league’s physical, weather-affected grind, would translate into far tougher away matches against far more opponents. Somewhere between 4-6 sounds fair.
