I'm not so sure that's the case. From what I've heard the issue is a bit different. The players had good intentions to join them.

Vitor Roque is most likely out of Barcelona. The amount of praise he was getting from Brazilian journalists was just insane. I'm often wrong, but I could see it was pure hype. He is nothing special, and I wouldn't want him in Palmeiras if he were offered. Endrick looks better than him, but I also think he won't set the world on fire in Spain.
I wonder why Bruno keeps extending his contract at Manchester United. Money being on answer, but certain he could get an amazing deal at a better club.
He turns 30 in September. No top club will want to pay the fee Utd would demand. So he might as well renew and imrpove his wages.

As Saeta Rubia said, he knows he wasted his peak years at United and it's too late to be desired at a big club in a big league. May as well get paid and retire. His salary is insane. That said, I know Zizou is a generational player but it still amazes me that st age 29 he was desired by every club in Europe. Bruno could have demanded a move to a more serious club, but again, the Glazers gave him an amazing contract so naturally forget about them trophies.
I thought he was already 30 years old. This is like his 3rd extension. Original contract was due to expire next year so I just find it surprising he's happy to stay.
He was such a flop that Juventus sold him for €77M; surely it wasn't because he only 2 years left on his contract and did not want to renew [due to Juve's lack of ambition]. He was such a flop that he made into the Bundesliga Team of the Season is his debut season. But keep drinking your biased koolaid.
As far as I remember he wasn't good in his period in Juventus. Whenever, I watched Bayern he wasn't convincing there either. He is just not an elite defender in my opinion. If he is being sold left and right, then there must be a good reason, don't you think? Or what, he doesn't want to renew now with Bayern either?
Clever career movement doesn't equal quality performance. A player who has an agent that accentuates the players qualities in a pitch to teams that are lacking in them will do wonders. Can you tell who that is? On paper that's a world class player. De Ligt has a Comically lopsided skillset, he's great at things that look good on tv but horrible in others.
AFAIK, Bruno's contract was due to expire in 2 years. I somewhat doubt that a better club would have paid him as much at age 32, so extending makes sense from both the player's and club's point of view.
Apparently there's a new rule in La Liga next season that allows an additional sub in case of a concussed player. Also "only the captain is allowed to protest" - what a joke really.
Damn, Vini gonna miss half the season due to suspensions. On the upside: he should be fit and ready to go in the CL.
Euro 2024 had the rule that only captain is allowed to talk with the ref. I didn't really pay attention if that was followed or not.
Uh, what? He's not even overrated at this point. Just people holding on to some idea of what he was supposed to be once upon a time. The majority knows he is what he is.
