I find those youth league but also pro league tournaments very weird on a competition level, especially with the amount of agent movement involved. With the gambling aspect on top of it.

It's been handed out by the federation, for "violent conduct outside of the run of play", Brais will miss the game against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu as his additional game, so you see how the pitchforks are coming out as favoritism.
Ron went to Saudi for the money. Benz switched teams because previous one wasn't offering him the contract he wanted. Ron should have understood that rather than trying to veto league transfers. 🚨 BREAKING: Cristiano Ronaldo remains OUT for Al Nassr next game vs Al Ittihad on Friday. As revealed here on Monday; no issues with Al Nassr staff or management, no injury, no fitness problems.Upset for PIF management with some of SPL clubs.🎥➕ https://t.co/oDkAVFsxwu pic.twitter.com/JMbuB7OHkO— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) February 5, 2026

Atleti in January window sold Raspadori to Atalanta for 22 ME, Gallagher to Spurs for 40 ME and Rodrigo De Paul to Inter Miami for 15 ME (loan deal made permanent). Signed Lookman for 35 ME, Rodrigo Mendoza from Elche for 16 ME and Obed Vargas from MLS for 3 ME.
Good business moves in January... Lookman for that kind of money looks like a steal and let's see how Rodrigo Mendoza will do. I am shocked that they could ship as well their flops for almost the same amount of money they paid.
De Paul wasn't a flop at all, but he had reached that stage of his career where he was bound to be put out on loan after loan until he finally left for nothing. So, it was good for them to cash in a good chunk of change for him.
An attacker who's at his peak and a midfielder who's one of the best prospects in Spain, great business for them. They also got rid of some of the deadwood.
I'm genuinely surprised Ronaldo is kicking up such an issue over signings. Thought this guy pretty much gave up on any club glory and just wanted to get to 1,000 official goals before bowing out.
Meh, Lookman had all of 2 goals and ZERO assists for Atalanta. His failure to produce is a big part of why they're outside the UCL qualification spots in Serie A. Now whether his poor production is down to injuries or poor form or some other factor, I dunno. But, I wouldn't call Lookman as being "at his peak," based on his numbers this season.
Currently in East Berlin... I've watched very little of Serie A this season, especially compared to prior seasons, but I can say first hand that I knew Lookman had wanted out this past summer, had basically been told he'd be given his transfer (the departure of Gasperini wasn't enough to entice him to stay any longer), and then come August he was basically told that transfer wasn't gonna happen, and perhaps unsurprisingly he was pissed off by this development. So if his stats/performance have been poor - again, can't speak from my own viewing - I can't say I'm surprised, nor would I be surprised if he upticks now that he's finally gotten his move. That said, I've never been a big Lookman guy myself, I think he was in many ways a product of Gasperini's system. About the only players I've ever trusted to succeed outside of Gasperini have been defenders, I don't trust mids and attackers. How many of those guys who left Atalanta on sizable transfers went on to be successful elsewhere?
Was there an injury in there? His numbers weren't at all what I was expecting. That aside, I don't look at Simeone as the type of manager who can help an attacker rediscover his form.
You can't possibly know that for sure. Lookman also is a profile they've been missing in their squad.
They're at the bottom, but I hope Real Oviedo can fight their way out of relegation. Big game for them tomorrow in a relegation derby against Rayo Vallecano. Conversely, Getafe and Valencia just 1 point out of the relegation zone, would not mind seeing either of those drop.
I'm thinking, and I cant recall an attacker that went to Atleti, and raised his level, thanks to Simeone’s management. Even Laporta's moronic man-crush, the midget Julian Alvarez hasn't scored a La Liga goal since November. Under Simeone, he hasn't exactly delivered the goods for Atleti, has he?
