Exactly, his scouting network seems to centered around Amsterdam 2019. Bizarre. What's next? Ziyech? :ROFLMAO:

Eberl negotiates with Tah, comes to an agreement. Eberl negotiates with Leverkusen. Comes to an agreement. This took months.

Hoeneß intervenes and stops the transfer publically saying "bayern doesn't sh*t money" .

Bayern paid a transfer fee for Eberl only to humiliate his work.

He's got potential. Anything is better than Fühlkrug who I feel like was a desperation option for Dortmund anyway, feels like they never really wanted him.

Unless Haaland is putting balls in the net, he’s a boring footballer to watch the entire 90 minutes.

Not someone who I’d pay my money to go and watch first and foremost.

He's simply not fun to watch. Even when he's running, it's like he's late for the bus, it's fast but it looks so clumsy and unappealing. He took a ball at knee level down to his foot and it looked like a new born getting used to it's body.

    I don't see the issue..

De Ligt had success playing under Ten Haag so it's not crazy to think they know what to expect from each other and the price isn't crazy for Manchester financial ability. People here complain profusely about depth in our team (ironically at that same position) and Manchester have done a decent job addressing it.

The funny thing for me is they sold Yoro on not being a backup and coming to Manchester to start... yet that is exactly what they had planned for him all along because he ain't starting over Maguire and De Ligt next season.

Hag will likely start his ex Ajax boys Lisandro and Ligt. Maguire and Yoro will fight for first back up spot.

De Ligt showed "potential" under Ten Hag. He is a terrible premier league player on paper.

De Ligt adds depth for United. He will probably start but if he doesn’t he’s a perfectly acceptable third CB.

Yoro is better IMO but he’s out til December and I assume Ten Haag would like to still be employed when he returns, so I understand why he’d want a CB he knows and trusts.

Price isn’t extortionate either. They could do a lot worse for the money (and they have tried their best to do that, for a decade now).

What didn't they learn? I'm not seeing the problem here, this feels like some excellent business from Man Utd.

But he is not. Laporta has been trying to ship him away for years now. He is their highest salary and the guy that would bring the most (before Yamal’s appearance). The guy does not want to move or reduce his salary (even during Covid) to help out his dream club. I know a contract is a contract, but that’s not a good view on him.

The player in question is simply not good. That's the thing.

He'll get cooked and since he's a Ten Hag guy he'll put even more pressure on the coach.

Maguire and De Ligt as the CB pairing? They'll have the combined speed of an old lady in a walker.

I feel like you have to be very weary of players like De Ligt, especially when they move down from league winning clubs. It may go okay, but feel they may would have been better off finding a cheaper option and putting them money towards a striker (though I admit no striker immediately comes to mind).

Bayern are selling Ligt and Mazra because they haven't been good enough. If we signed Bayern flops, forum will go crazy. Utd expectations have become mediocre.

Zirkzee, Holjund etc are B tier talents too. Yoro is their only potential world class signing in last two summers. Not to mention they renewed Hag after finishing 8th and had a humiliating CL exit finishing behind Galatasaray and Copenhagen.

Correct, but you need to rebuild and United aren’t in a position to sign top tier talent at the moment. De Ligt on his own would be an OK signing for them. But De Ligt and Yoro together is a good attempt at sorting out the CB position.

We are in a far better spot than United so yes, I would be against signing De Ligt for us.

We aren't Manchester.. this is good for their level to get Yoro and De Light. They need depth and talent at CB. I don't know how you can spin this as some horrible move.

You gotta upgrade at some point to raise the level. Liverpool did that with Klopp and then signings like Mane, Salah, VVD, Fabinho, Konate. I just don't see Utd doing that at the base level either.

Hag gets an extension while he hasn't shown anything better than LVG, Mou and Ole. Signings except Yoro has been like that too. Not different from Glazer era where they'd sign Pogba or Di Maria plus a bunch of B tier talents.

DeLigt slow, might not fare too well in the helter skelter EPL, Yoro know nothing about him at the highest level, potential, Maguire error prone, Evans so so, good luck to Manure, wait........ what am i saying , i hope they suck as usual
