Football players seem to be completely ridiculous people for the most part and I feel like the industry itself is to blame for it.
Agreed, simply defies logic, but..... if you determine beforehand that the new coach will immediately change things, incorporate tactics and systems and we'll automatically see vastly improved football, and then nothing much changes, then some have got to defend their initial viewpoint somehow, hence, now .... coach is doing great, it's solely down to spoiled brats lazy diva players A long way past his best
Guess we will see. I just find it rarely plays out that way. And the main goal for all the teams you listed is to win the WC or at least make a deep run. So, I'm sure they would like to avoid an Argentina or England in the round of 32, and instead play Austria or a 3rd-place team. Its not only about advancing to the next stage.
Being on the pitch is not the objective. Being a leader and voice in the dressing room is because we have none currently.
I don’t think this group would care, nor respect Sergio Ramos. He’s more of the old man yelling at the clouds in their perspective than someone to relate to.
He livestreamed piss drunk and was declared "injured" the next day year over year. Sergio was a warrior and gave 110%, but what good is that now? His leadership was by sword, not by pen. Without the sword, it's pitiful.
Normally, I agree with this part. We have seen so many big upsets in the history of the WC Finals, but we have not seen so many minnows who don't belong to this WC Finals. I actually love studying the weaker national teams and bragged about my knowledge of the game. But teams such as Haiti, Curacao, Cape Verde, Jordan and Uzbekistan are very different. They seldom made noises even within their own continental tournaments. They are not Cameroon (1990), Iceland, Nigeria (1994), Senegal (2002), Morocco (2022) etc. Except Khusanov, can anyone name a single player of note from them?
🚨 Barca-Negreira Case Update:1. Laporta testified in court today that he never met or knew Negreira or his son.The reality is that Laporta QUADRUPLED the payments, that were already way out of market range to Negreira during his first tenure. That alone makes it obvious that… pic.twitter.com/jKawGYFiwt— MADRID SPOT (@MadridSpot) December 12, 2025
I really love this, he basically saying “There’s nothing because there was nothing.” so the i got only one question, If nothing ever happened, then what exactly were these ‘reports’ for?
Jamie Carragher is a clown. This was a hilarious imitation of him. Lol. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DSFukYJDL0g/?igsh=MTg1eHpxNWo4eXJ3Ng==
According to ChatGPT, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) employs approximately 500 to 600 people. Negreira was a former Vice President of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA), a position that likely placed him in the upper tier of the federation’s organizational hierarchy. While it's difficult to determine his exact rank, ChatGPT estimated that his role would likely fall within the top 20 to 30 positions—possibly higher, depending on the structure of the organization. Although I take ChatGPT’s estimate with caution, it's reasonable to assume that Negreira was among the 100 most influential individuals within the RFEF. As the president of Barcelona, knowing or interacting with 100 key figures within RFEF is hardly extraordinary.
I would love nothing more than this being Barca paying for an initial advantage, not really getting much out of it, then having to pay to keep their initial intentions and payments secret and finding no way to explain that they have been practically take advantage of for years. To me all things considered they look like the exploited party but have no way to properly frame that without also admitting that they hoped they'd have an advantage.
yeah a Messi tour is wild but did he leave because they stormed the pitch or did they storm the pitch because he left?
That's the classic though. When I was a kid Shaq was there for a event, it got full beyond imagination, it took him 4 hours to get on the court and was off of it after 30 minutes (mostly talking and waving) . Last CL final a grown man (around his 40s) broke down crying in front of us when Edwin van de Saar stood next to us, like a Beatles fan from those crazy documentaries from back then. I have never felt so much pity and disgust for another man before that
Who was the clown on this forum saying that this case was shut closed and acting like everyone else is a naive conspiracy nut for thinking there was a bribery investigation still ongoing.
I think the investigation is for financial fraud and misappropriation of expenses. Unless you have actual results (manipulated games or anything hinting to anything of sorts), that's what they can get them pinned down on. No reason to not assume the intention was to gain an advantage but there's no more stupid way to go about it than this.
They stormed the pitch because they paid 12,000 rupees ($150) to see him walk around the pitch for 20 mins surrounded by celebrities and politicians, without even a clear view. Basically they got scammed. They stormed after he dipped. It was some kind of statue unveiling event. Of course some pockets of messi fans were screaming the usual barca insults towards Madrid. Because as Jose Mourinho said, Barca only thinks about Madrid.
Liverpool signed two strikers in the summer for huge fees. Who would have thought that the one who came from the German league and was known as one of the biggest poor finisher in the world would end up as the top scorer. while the striker who arrived from the English league, after scoring 20+ goals in each of the last two seasons, would score just one goal and be simply awful every time he plays.
