I mean it was common knowledge among some of my Qatari friends a few weeks before the competition that Messi will be given the WC. I began to doubt it after their loss to Saudi but after that the conspiracy shaped up pretty nicely.

Agreed; it was obvious how it perfectly lined-up with their script. Mbappe vs Messi final, both at the time contracted to Qatar and Messi gets his final hurrah.

People underestimate how much corruption exists in the World.

He was hinting at renewal few days back after Pool made a new offer.

Barnes missed a sitter vs City and Woltemade had a good chance too.

Haaland left foot effort straight at GK from close range.

Results like the one against Forest is why casuals like the Premier League, tuning in to watch Barca fold Athletic bilbao, arguably one of the largest clubs in the country, like fresh laundry is boring and completely irrelevant if you don't support Barca. A lot of Liga games are like an exhibition.

Dortmund Stuttgart was elite though. Great great game.

Notts beat Liverpool last season at home and drew with them at Anfield.

Bilbao haven't won vs Barcelona in the league since 2018.

You simply don't expect Bilbao or Atletico to beat Barcelona neither home nor away.

I thought Barca might be weaker this season after struggling in quite a few games early on including 4-1 defeat at Sevilla.

But they are back to spanking teams like last season and early season form might have been a small dip like they had mid season last year.

Neither City nor Pool are as good as they were few years ago when they used to pile up 98-100 points.

They have to. Same or worse form after international breaks they just have to pull the plug to save their season. I don't know who they can get as interim or who is free and able though

Isak and Wirtz might go Coutinho route. Very few players have coped with the pressure of massive transfer fee.

    NU 2-1 Man City.

City are better than they were last season, but still struggle away from home. We should beat them at the Bernabeu.

Probably the worst refereeing performance I have ever seen in this man city match. Negreira levels of negligence.

Said a couple weeks back, I’d be extremely disappointed if this side didn’t beat City at home next month.

We aren't great but.....City beaten by Newcastle, Liverpool beaten at home by NF, seems all the hype about City beating Liverpool was a wee bit over the top, including some of the talk about some performers in that particular game, other than possibly Bayern no outstanding teams to be feared for me this season

Agreed but I give credit to teams like Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Brighton and Aston Villa, they have improved immensely over the last 1-2 seasons.

I don't think there is a "best" league but the EPL is the most fun to watch.

I agree, all of these teams are fairly inconsistent. But the way we are playing and the lack of substantial progress I'm seeing at times, we can be beaten by any serious opponent on any given day. In other words, we are in the same bracket as a team like City: we can be scary when it clicks, but so far it's all too inconsistent.

This shity liverpool team (now in 11th place in EPL standings) dominating Real Madrid. This just goes to show how truly ass Real Madrid is right now. I fully expect 2nd place by xmas.

I would gladly eat my words, but this team had a crisis of confidence and leadership.

You guys understand sports don’t work like that right?

we lost to Liverpool. They played well that game and had a good week of football. Doesn’t mean they are better and their other results are irrelevant.

they outplayed us that day and that’s that. We gotto imrprove but I’m not gonna keep dwelling on that lost after watching them lose in the pl every week
