Good post. But is football truly like this now? Is that how it's being taught as well? As long as i can remember, youth coaches always said don't linger on the ball. And the guys who needed 3 touches or 3-4 seconds before passing it were considered inferior players. Coaches would stop training sessions to yell at a player who was taking too long on the ball. Maybe this will catch on and maybe it wont. But it's cool to see folks trying to find different ways to play the game. It was never meant to be played just one way, which is why i am not a fan of coaches with super rigid mindsets.
I was planning of catching some of that game as well, although there’s a lot of good back to back games overs this weekend.
Yaser Asprilla vs Barcelona Bayern and Lucho vs Dortmund Colombia u20 vs France U20 all in one day, all back to back what a day
You could apply the same thinking to Real Madrid, who have a +70% chance to win practically every single weekend, but we still watch. If watching competitive football is your thing, a club like Real Madrid is the wrong Adress to be at.
I find it hard to blame it on him after watching them play today. How many chances do you get to blow over the top row for it to be the players simply not being good enough.
Bayern win the league every year as a foregone conclusion by Sept. unless there are some compelling players to watch; I used to watch Dortmund regularly when Haaland and Bellingham were there, it’s really not a great view IMO knowing it’s all German cosplay for Bayern to chase each other with beer at the end of the season. I’d rather watch Spanish teams or EPL. At least there are trophies to be decided.
Thank the lord shitty NT break is over. My Saturday morning means something again. Watching the bundesliga (goal arena) now after Sevilla - Mallorca.
That dude Muriqi who has hurt us in the past changed the game for Mallorca. Sevilla seemed in control till like 55min. Mainz - Leverkusen 3 goals in 30 mins.
I figure you would like to know the current Real Madrid coach won the League before we hired him. Ball knowers know and stuff.
Alright fellas. It’s too early in the morning for this back and forth. Let’s watch some footy. Grimaldo 2 goals 1-3 Leverkusen now. Hoffman playing well. Stutgart have also started the season well it seems.
Season Champion last 10 years 2013–14 Bayern Munich 2014–15 Bayern Munich 2015–16 Bayern Munich 2016–17 Bayern Munich 2017–18 Bayern Munich 2018–19 Bayern Munich 2019–20 Bayern Munich 2020–21 Bayern Munich 2021–22 Bayern Munich 2022–23 Bayern Munich 2023–24 Bayer Leverkusen 2024–25 Bayern Munich Yes, let’s use the one outlier year to illustrate a point. @4x4s is always right. German football is a true shining example of a meritocracy.
Isn't this exactly how you want to see Spanish football be? That's what's funny to me, being constantly upset when Barca or Atleti win the league, and at the same hand find it terrible when others achieve the kind of domination you'd like to see your club arise to. Coincidentally if you hear Florentino speak about Real Madrid this would be the kind of title haul you'd expect from his praises. Even in that situation, clubs like Dortmund fill the house every weekend. Maybe clubs in "competitive Spain" that play with Casper the ghost in attendance can see what they're doing right.
