The international break is one of the most useless and hated things in the world for me, but sometimes there are those games that feel like a ray of light in these breaks.
It's complicated. We were winning those champions leagues in an era where we were generally losing by 1-3 points when the VP of the Refereeing Commission was accepting bribes from our rival. Additionally, those champions leagues were won due to careful management of our older players - otherwise you get stay pad sessions in La liga and flop for a decade plus out of ucl like barca. So I never understood the complaint. CL is where true prestige is at.
Zidane valued winning league titles as manager more than winning the Champions League. https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/37585218/la-liga-title-better-champions-league For me, that's about all I need to read.
I never get the gate for the international break. Don't you guys support your countries? I watch Greece with the same joy and anticipation as I watch RM.
When I first started watching football I was just as enthusiastic for country then I was for club, but overtime I simply stopped caring for international football and developed a tunnel vision for Madrid. This club is really special to me and it plays a big part in my life. Di Stefano was 100% correct about this club being "a feeling" because that feeling has consumed me lol
🗣️ Joan Laporta: “I believe in God. He helps me believe, though I’m non-practicing Catholic.”“Heaven, for me, is the place where every five minutes Barcelona scores against Real Madrid. If God exists, He’s a culé.” pic.twitter.com/2DzIIJ8NVt— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) October 12, 2025
What a blatant mischaracterization of what he said. Man you ppl claiming la liga over ucl are completely out of touch with reality. Our literal status as the biggest club today is purely based on ucl.
Some people watch as fans, and only winning is enjoyable, others watch for entertainment and like a certain quality level. I love watching my national team play, but I get why some might not since we haven't won much lately and our football is worse than pulling teeth most games.
I find the comment hysterical, and this used to be the regular communication between the two clubs in the past instead of the current "we are partners, we share brand properties 50/50 together and sue the league in tandem".
Juve’s best defender got injured again after returning from the ACL injury he suffered at the beginning of last season. For us, it’s good news since we won’t have to face him, but it’s horrible news for him and for Juve cuz it means he’ll be out for a long time.
I think if we're expecting Bremer to make a significant impact on our game, we're probably not reaching our goals. The kind of names we have stacked in attack should be cheat codes.
No Mbappe, no Tchouameni. Now France is losing 1-0 to Iceland lol Deschamps terrible football back again
It's Mbappe, the second best player on the planet of last year, and a shitload of talent to dance the triangle dance with them (Bellingham, Guler, etc.). This is like rolling up with a ferrari to race a tricycle. The names on the back of the shirt on't win the games by themselves, but Juve have Vlahovic and a load of guys that read like Pro Evolution Soccer unlicensed players.
Real ones know the time i had him photoshopped with a Real Madrid shirt as a profile pic back in the day. What a STUD.
