The high intensity style taking its toll. A system that relies on centimeters is bad news when the team isn't fully fit to start stop at its best. Combine that with the inability to refresh the squad I feel like they'll trend downwards.
Lol was having an argument with a guy the other day who said lewas could still end up with more goals than Messi and Ronaldo. Reminded him he would need like 4, 40 goal seasons just to reach current Messi numbers, he was like yeah, it's happening.
Betis won at Espanyol. Real Sociedad lost at home to Rayo and are 19th in league table. Sevilla will finish this weekend in Top 6. Cordon had to build Sevilla squad spending 0.3 M last summer while selling Bade, Lukebakio and Idumbo for 55 M. Ex Sevilla player Almeyda looking like an inspired coaching hire so far. He was coaching in Greece for 3 seasons before this.

I remember Barça having a losing streak early last season too, and after that they were kind of unstoppable. This year, Lewa is older and the team is not significantly better than last season, so they might drop more points. Winning the Clasico would be wonderful mathematically-wise and for our morale.
I think a win in El Clasico will change the course of our season drastically. It'll be Xabi's first win against a top side and it'll begin to erase the cumulative streak that Barcelona has developed against us in the last 2 years, the psychological impact of this on our players will be significant.
La Liga used to be an absolute powerhouse. Outside of the duopoly you had Atleti, Sevilla and Villarreal and Valenica (who were on their downward trend). Atleti has kept pass really well but Villarreal look very weak now compared to the past. Teams like Betis and Sociedad haven't really been able to consistently improve and Valencia is still a trash fire. I'd like a strong Sevilla again.
La Liga is easiest league to randomly turn on and watch. Great balance of technical and individual talent on display for many games.
It’s a good futbol league. Even today, we were mad Sevilla was missing chances but that was some good football to watch
