Not even Hollywood could write this. 🎬Mourinho’s first Benfica game? 20 Sept 2000.His comeback debut? 20 Sept 2025.25 years later. Same date. Full circle. 🇵🇹 pic.twitter.com/Ds47DTrEFC— Footybuzz (@footybuzzHQ) September 17, 2025 Fact is 25 years ago accepted to coach Benfica right before elections took place. This year, a month from now, Benfica will have elections again.— Ruben Silvério (@Rb_13S) September 17, 2025 yes, and he left Benfica because of elections (Vilarinho won the elections and wanted Toni instead of Mourinho)— Fernand Magellan (@MagellanF1519) September 17, 2025
Atlético have four players injured, and their main player, Álvarez, is also injured. If he had played, I believe Atlético would have at least managed a draw.
They could play through Liverpool's press and get into dangerous areas for large parts of the game, it's only that the final spark was missing. Baena and Alvarez could have provided that.
They are doing the same crap that Atlético did last year, and we all know how that ended. Yeah, I believe with Kylian and Vini we can beat them.
If Liverpool continue playing the way they currently are, they'll be in for a humiliating battering by one of their elite opponents
Meanwhile in Brazil... Davide Ancelotti melting down with Botafogo Vitor Roque in full beast mode scoring and assisting for fun
Thus far, I’m not impressed with any of the teams in the CL. No one looks like a juggernaut. We definitely can make a deep run at it if we’re able to work out some of the kinks. I like our chances for the 16th.
