Villarreal, Betis games are mostly fun to watch. Athletic Bilbao are much better to watch in recent years as they have had good talent and right coaches. Celta, Rayo, Espanyol, Levante play good football among lower table teams. PL has 5-6 clubs with huge fanbases compared to just 2 in La Liga. Wolves, Bournemouth etc vast majority viewers are local fans just like Rayo or Espanyol. Production quality is much better and ref standards in PL are not as bad compared to La Liga. Lahoz used to be the the only La Liga coach who was considered good enough for big CL and World Cup games yet he rarely got Clasico games. Not that he was a really good Spanish ref, but above average at International level while rest were not good enough. Negreira bribe system couldn't have helped in promoting competent young refs.
Real Sociedad were also easy on the eyes during Imanol era except last season. Hope they bounce back rather than go Sevilla and Valencia route. Cordon has the right track record as SD to improve Sevilla, but they need to fix FFP situation first to make some moves other than free transfers. Valencia are hopeless. Marcelino and Alemany got them back on track, but Lim pressed self destruction button again by firing both.
It all depends on standings and where you end up in bracket and other results, but on pure talent, I wouldn't have them in top 5. Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, PSG, Bayern. They got an easy path last season and made it to the final, but take out the officiating effect, and they're an above average team, not great.
Insta reel going around of yamals father being kicked out of an establishment for hostile behaviour.... The police were throwing him around like he was a bag of potatoes and the guy looked drugged up.
Gyokeres taken off. Think his upside is Mario Gomez, but Arsenal won't dominate teams and feed a limited striker so much like Bayern did in Bundesliga.
Very, very fortunate..1v1 with both sides of the net open to him and he shoots at the GK, mofo doesn't have the physical capacity to lift his head
Lol the guy was busy shaking off that defenders and barely had time to get the shot in.... That was a good goal
Gyokeres to me was another Darwin Nuñez. Flat track bully in Portuguese league who gets found out when the competition rises.
It's why he wasn't being liked to all the greatest teams itw and was looking between arsenal and man U lol
Athletic should have made more of their many chances in the 1H. Arsenal scored scrappy goals but at least they capitalized on what they got.
Yildiz again! Great finish. Crazy game for Juve again. They have no defense. Yildiz could have scored another 2 goals if not for heroic saves. He’s on fire. Arda Guler’s gotta look at that and get motivated even more. The BVB penalty was not a good look for their players and coach. Quite a bit of bullshit about who would take the kick. Kovac screaming from the touch line. Vlahovic changed the game though. He was great.
There will be nine Premier League clubs playing in Europe this season - meaning nine Premier League clubs must comply with UEFA's spending regulations.Breaching these regulations can lead to significant fines and, if they continue over a sustained period, even a year's ban from… pic.twitter.com/5DzJywLuNH— The Athletic | Football (@TheAthleticFC) September 16, 2025
