Looks like we dodged one. “It's been a shocker for Liverpool defender Milos Kerkez Booked for a blatant dive and then hooked for Andy Robertson before half-time, it has been an absolute 45 minutes to forget for the new full-back! Jamie Carragher wasn't impressed, describing the action as “absolutely stupid".
One bad game in a new league, country and it's dodging a bullet now. Arda had 3 back to back injuries after he came to Madrid, everyone was calling him plenty of things and a bullet among those. Yet last season him and Modric were the most available players, not even injured once if I remember correctly.
New league new country? Kerkez has been in England since 2023. He’s been poor since joining Liverpool, not just this game. Let’s see if he adapts
He's mediocre defensively so unless his offense compensates that significantly, he will be a net negative.
I also think he falls short technically and in terms of reading the game. Being a work-horse and physically strong for a full-back will only get you so far at the elite level.

Haaland, though it's 1 one 1, still has a bit to do. Literally no doubt what so ever in my mind that he would finish that opportunity. Even with Mbappé there would be a little doubt, but Haaland, absolutely no question.
I was thinking about a situation where Real Madrid got purchased buy scum like the glazers and just how quickly this once great club could fall into obscurity. Our club structure doesn't allow that to happen, easily anyway, but it was just a thought. As much as we troll Manchester United it's genuinely sad to see what they've become. Especially as most people could see this situation immediately after the Glazers purchased the club.
