Take a look at Ibai Gomez' FC Andorra, I think they're going to be one of the surprises in Segunda this season.

Watched the game...despite the crazy scoreline, Arda actually had good game. Very tidy on the ball and held up against the press very well.

Unfortunately for him Spain is just a level or two higher than his team right now. Can't do anything about that.

World cup Qfs needs revamping. Pathetic for the smaller nations who have no chance of qualification in a group of 4x containing 2/3 top tier nations

Why? It's the World Cup, just like the UCL has only the 'best' club teams so should the World Cup.

Andorra for example - MP 5, Lost 5 and GF 0 and GA 10.

    What is the point?

It should really be split into 3 or more tiers based on coefficients to give nations like Andorra a chance to actually make the WC.

We'd also see better matches being played in the process instead of absolute drab.

They got a chance. Its called the Nations League and it gives smaller teams a real chance to reach the World Cup.
Even if they finish 3rd or 4th in their qualifying group, a strong Nations League campaign can still send them to the play-offs. That’s exactly how teams like Georgia or North Macedonia managed to get close to major tournaments, they don’t need to beat Spain or Germany in a group, but can rely on success against opponents of their own level in the Nations League.

Not much reason to look at it any further than a Spaniard supporting a Spaniard who tend to play similar roles in their teams. Rodri was a valued player with Atleti the one year he was there who reached another level under Pep, just a perfect fit in the team. Zubimendi could follow a similar path, or he could follow Illaramendi's path, or somewhere in-between...we'll see.

Balde injured, Gavi injured, now Frenkie de Jong injured.

We need Valencia to steal some points from Barca on Sunday.

Kosovo beat Sweden 2-0 tonight, pretty sweet! I think that’s probably our most impressive scalp since we’ve had our national football team.

Good for Nuno. Forest owner is a douche and Nuno will soon get a better job in PL. Ange likely to be next Forest coach apparentlty.

While Nuno’s relationship with Marinakis proved the Portuguese’s undoing, the Greek businessman has in the past expressed his admiration for Postecoglou, who is of Greek heritage.

“What he achieved, he did with a team that has not won any titles, it has had a very difficult time in recent years. In this huge success that the whole world saw, he promoted Greece,” Marinakis said when presenting him with an award in Greece following his Europa League triumph.

“We must thank him especially for this and we wish him well, although we are sure that he will do well as he has the ability. Wherever he goes, the successes will come.”

Spurs CEO says Lewis family intend to own club for ‘generations’ after rejecting takeover

    • Vinai Venkatesham: ‘Tottenham Hotspur is not for sale’

    • Amanda Staveley’s PCP confirms it will not make offer
The chief executive of Tottenham, Vinai Venkatesham, has said the Lewis family intend their ownership to “continue through the generations” after two takeover approaches were revealed to have been knocked back.

Venkatesham was speaking after a tumultuous week for Tottenham. Last Thursday the executive chairman Daniel Levy was relieved of his role in a shock announcement. Then on Sunday night Spurs said they had “unequivocally rejected” two expressions of interest in relation to buying the club.

“I can be really clear on this,” Venkatesham told Tottenham’s official channels on Monday. “The Lewis family are really clear. They see their involvement in Tottenham Hotspur being long term and they see their involvement continuing through the generations.

Bayern’s Uli Hoeneß: “We’ve decided against permanent signings after Diaz as have to pay attention to financial situation”.

“You have Barcelona as the best example of what happens when you only buy, buy, buy and then end up with debts of €1.2 billion and can't do anything”.

Which is in incredible to me because:

A - Tickets are mostly digital nowadays. It's irrelevant where you're playing.
B - If you do get to play in the Camp Nou, just unlock more tickets in the upper/cheaper seats.

Then again, they probably hope to charge double for the Camp Nou stadium reopening, that's where I assume the reason for their hesitation to be.

apparently it’s passing occupancy inspections is the hold up. The latest plan is to host the match at Estadi Johan Cruyff, which is 6k capacity.
