I kind of disagree because signing better players gave them divas like Felix who feel like they are too good to work hard.

My theory is Flick was signed because he doesn't have the reputation to defend himself if the team he goes into the season with isn't competitive enough. To be absolutely brutal, he's a guy they can hammer if they don't succeed, then make an approach for a coach they could actually get behind. Doesn't feel like anything the club does is taking his input into consideration and he's got the profile of somebody the Spanish press will eat up.
Ironic because he created a ruckus at Bayern when they had a great squad just because management didn't give him power on transfers. He thought he can have that kind of privilege like Pep/Klopp after treble season. But his stock went down after German NT stint. None of the PL clubs seriously considered him and Barca got him because other affordable options are worse. Conte, Tuchel are two others whom top clubs want to ignore now due to their toxic personality.
After Leny Yoro’s recent injury potentially breaking his metatarsal and being out for months, PSG assures that they knew about Yoro’s physical fragility and that’s why they didn’t match or pay anywhere close to what Manchester United paid for Yoro. @Tanziloic 🇫🇷🫡 pic.twitter.com/fjNwDGv7zb— PSG Report (@PSG_Report) July 31, 2024 Not sure if this is fake but could also explain why noone was willing to pay more than 25/30 ME
Varane has a similar lanky frame. Though he had his knee issues later on in his career, he was mostly healthy for 10 seasons at RM. Vallejo during his Frankfurt loan was seen as future Varane replacement too, but he's had so many injuries. Can't remember many tall and skinny CBs like Varane, Vallejo, Yoro.
PSG paid 200 mil. Euro for a Neymar that gets injured while making instant coffee. I'll take this "gotcha" from them with a grain of salt. Not even going to include gems like Dembele and Renato Sanchez in the discussion either.
Vallejo had a ton of muscular injuries in Frankfurt as well: Kovac who was coaching him at the time said "it can't be that a 20 year old has so many muscular injuries already. We're worried about his future, he's supposed to be capable of playing until he's 35" Added that "he's not in a great mental state right now".
When it comes to players being injury prone, it's usually, if not all the time, muscle injuries and tendon injuries. This guy broke his foot. I don't think that's counts as being injury prone/fragile.
Seems like this is set to happen. 🔵🔴 EXCLUSIVE: Barça reach agreement with Dani Olmo on contract until June 2030 and send new official bid!Details of the new proposal sent to RB Leipzig.◉ €55m guaranteed.◉ €4m easy add-ons.◉ €3m difficult add-ons.Olmo agree six year deal, he strongly wants Barça. pic.twitter.com/c4rbCi2wFo— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 1, 2024
Olmo makes sense for them with Nico staying at Athletic Bilbao. He could replace Pedri just like with Spanish NT and Pedri misses a lot of games usually.

Atlético gonna restart Felix experiment? He was a bigger flop at Chelsea and Barca. Let's see how his ego is now. 🚨🇵🇹 BREAKING: João Félix started as a left midfielder in the main team and showcased his class today. Felix is one of those overhyped hip players people love I don’t know how he keeps getting opportunities
yes which is he is the very definition of a hip player but we go year after year of this dude failing yet clubs keep wanting to give him a chance
Should find himself a small club and have their team build around him. Plenty of players became icons of the game like that.
Yoro also played 44 games last season without injury. Sounds like nonsense. I don't know how breaking a foot shows injury prone-ness...that's usually shown through various muscle or tendon injuries.
⛔️🇨🇴 Lazio director Fabiani: “I’d never sign James Rodriguez, impossible. The rumours are fake”.“He’s 33 and never played more than 12/13 games in the recent years… he did well in Copa América but we are not even interested in signing James”, told Radio Sei. pic.twitter.com/ylOut61gzX— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 1, 2024 They torched the guy, that's what happens when you waste all that talent.
He's just a few months older than Vinicius. Yet of you look at the Vini thread the idea is that "he's still a kid" but Felix should have been the finished article right now. Not comparing them as players, but clearly Felix can do a lot in the next 3 years to change his career.
This sounds a bit too personal lol. I think James camp were demanding ridiculous money for what he is now and Lazio felt rightfully outraged and offended. This is not the response for someone who is not mad
Roque's poor performance against City has opened the door wide for him to leave, either on loan or on a transfer. Flick, who does not count on the Brazilian, is betting on Pau Victor as an alternative to Lewandowski. https://as.com/futbol/vitor-roque-se-dispara-un-tiro-al-pie-n/ Yea. He's been linked to Lazio for couple of weeks now. This heated denial after several days sounds like 'cos they couldn't agree personal terms. I am rooting for James to join Rayo. No huge pressure to perform there and he will probably be motivated when they play RM and Barca. Will be a good addition for La Liga like Trezeguet at Hercules and Falcao at Rayo.
