Nico Paz ✨ pic.twitter.com/4g0eobIu6B— Real Madrid Fabrica (@FabricaMadrid) August 16, 2025 Interesting to see Nico start in a midfield 3 yesterday. I had long suspected that his future was in the midfield. Not sure if its a 1 game thing because of the weak opposition or if that will be where he plays this year at Como. If uses this year to adapt to a deeper position, it will be a productive year. He was already dropping very deep last year to participate in the build up, but he wasn't part of the midfield 3 last year.
It's always like this and it's why whenever people attempt to use calls for or against us, it's always disingenuous at best. The amount of non-calls barca disappear a match... it's alarming and if they were correctly called they would be competing fot 3rd most seasons and not 1st. Some will defend it but if this were atleti getting this treatment they would be strolling to La Liga titles yearly.
You are right. I don’t understand where is Flo and JAS. where are the Legal lawyers or our club. This Muniera ref yesterday should be arrested not today, but yesterday. It’s clear that he wanted to use his power of ref and favor Barca. This is corruption at is highest
Arsenal go into half-time 1-0 up in Old Trafford. Thoughts so far, Bayandir needed to do ALOT better on that goal. I'd give Donnarumma an open cheque if I was Amorim. Mbeumo and Cunha scream mid table, which I guess is where united is. Arsenal don't know how to play with a 9 like Gyokeres - early days but they need to figure that out. Overall united have defended with numbers but have done it quite well - Arsenal looked vulnerable on the counter. Neither team has really impressed.
Those who complain about our midfielders need to watch this Man U - Arsenal… They make football seem like such a difficult game to play
It's the first game of the season, so I can't judge too much, but both teams look the same as they did last season. Arsenal can be grateful for their set pieces when it comes to scoring a goal, because I didn’t see any other way they would have scored. Viktor? Well, he was crap. But again, it's the first game of the season, so I’ll wait to see if he gets any better before judging him. Man United? Well, it's basically the same team as last season, just with a new mid-table attack.
15 - Ruben Amorim has now lost 15 of his 28 Premier League games (W7 D6) – this is the fastest a manager has reached 15 defeats in the competition, without taking charge of a newly promoted team in that period, since Paul Hart with Portsmouth in 2009 (27 games). Prolonged. pic.twitter.com/hjvJAVCG5M— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) August 17, 2025
Lol what are "legal lawyers" supposed to do when barcelona have an open public case ongoing with bribery of officials and tax evasion and not one thing will be done to punish them?
Chelsea played multiple games before and a regular Premier league game this weekend. Bayern, Arsenal, PSG. Everybody played this weekend regardless of the Superleague but we get a cookie and a cup of tea by the league for being tired little babies. Tell me how La Liga doesn't favor the cash cows of the league again please. We should have played. The delay is a gift.

It's our fault for falling into their quarrel." pic.twitter.com/qHHOZOtfBI— The Touchline | 𝐓 (@TouchlineX) August 17, 2025
Interesting tweet from Ronsno lol. Big Barca big accounts were laughing at Nico for "struggling" during pre-season. Sounds like Nico's agent replying through this Tweet. ❤️🤍 One goal, one assist, three points for Nico Williams with Athletic Club tonight……on first official game since saying no to Barça move to stay at the club. pic.twitter.com/ylXMyHdPfz— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 17, 2025
I’ve watched highlights only. And from what I’ve seen, he has a very quick brain. There is nothing there technique-wise that Camavinga cannot do. But football isn’t just about technique, it’s mainly brain. The guy already knows what he’s going to do with the ball before he gets it, one or two touches and the ball is already with the attacking line, whereas Cama would get his head down and try to dribble his way ten yards forward.
Why? 3 players pressed him and he got out each time skillfully. Important skill to have in an era where even smaller teams commit to press.
As soon as he does the first turn (good turn) he needs to feed the forward player in the centre. It’s then a 2 v 2. instead he holds on to the ball, doesn’t feed the central midfield player once he’s evaded the second presser, and holds on to it again, eventually releasing it to the deepest player he can possibly find (aside from the goalkeeper). Complete and utter waste of time, the point as a playmaker is to progress the ball to your strikers and not dribble it all the way back to the deepest centreback. I’m not really blaming the player, you often make sub-optimal decisions when playing. I’m blaming the guy posting it on X with stars in the title like the player did something amazing.
