The longest VAR delay in history?Cristian Medina's late equaliser for Argentina v Morocco at #Paris2024 has now been ruled out due to offside! ❌The game was suspended more than an hour ago.#BBCOlympics pic.twitter.com/jp5KF94UN2— BBC Sport (@BBCSport) July 24, 2024 People are actually watching this shitshow? They disallowed a goal 2 hours after the game was over because Morrocans started storming the pitch and throwing firecrackers causing the game to get suspended for the 10th time and they will now replay the last 3 minutes
In what world is a pitch invasion/demolition job "justice"? You figure away fans should just storm the pitch at Real Madrid games to change the result?
So basically all the German fans had to do was invade the pitch and simply not leave until Cucurella gets a handball called. Brilliant idea.
One of the craziest things i've ever seen on a football pitch. Still, a well-deserved win for Morocco, and someone please tell Argentina this was a football game and that wrestling won't start till Friday.
Funny because when we were playing heavy metal defense with Pepe and Ramos absolutely smashing people to bits we used to call them crybabies for complaining.
So wait ... the pitch invasion came after the match had finished ? So the ref had already blown the whistle for the match and they only found out about the offsides after the game was over ? If so, that's not right. Even if it sounds like justice. You can't retroactively fix mistakes after the match is over.
It was offside. Apparently the ref blew to check VAR not the end of the game. It took so long because of the mess caused by the fans, not the 16 min added time.
It's one thing to have two or three defenders in your team muscling out the opposition, it's another thing to make kicking out the opponent as your brand of football. It's been working, so good for them. It doesn't mean it's not despicable.
Ramos is an all time red card record holder. Spare me the "it's despicable" I remember him icing Ronaldinho then having a celebratory handshake after. Physicality is part of the sport. Carvajal plays like a car crash dummy. If he could detach a limb and throw it, he definitely would.
Again, individual players, not a whole team, and in the case of Argentina, the national team in every age category. And yes physicality is part of the sport, kicking and elbowing the opponent aren't, or at least shouldnt be.
No surprise there, at the moment Japanese football is far beyond most South American countries. Look how many players they've got across Europe. Bundesliga, Premier League. Players actually contributing. They've done incredibly well to grow this fast as a football nation.
Oh lala. Funny enough even FIFA will introduce an intentional foul feature in the next game. It's part of the sport now just like divind and holding your face for an eternity.
Best way to deal with that is go over to your mates house you're playing with and throw a flare though his living room window
