Yep. Worked out well for them with the two teams right above them in the table playing each other on the final day of the season. It meant, Dortmund had full control of their own destiny (and playing a team already relegated).
And now they get a penalty and the commentators say VAR team told the ref the defender never touched the ball. Replay on TV showed he touched the ball
Dean Henderson has now saved 9 out of the 22 penalties he has faced in his professional career. He now has a ridiculous penalty save percentage of 41%, 20% over the average. What a save. Henderson 1 - 0 Marmoush. 🧤 pic.twitter.com/QpygoBuYJI— Statman Dave (@StatmanDave) May 17, 2025 Good stat
I thought there wasn't VAR in this game. Turns out there is, and they tried to justify it! And we go on about the Spanish referees.
Rooney is such a mess he cracks me up. How do you make a suit look that scruffy?! Looks like a youngster in his dad's badly fitting suit on the way to court
I know some days when Pep goes to bed he hopes Kun Aguero will reappear in front of him and everything will be as it was.
City are playing a 2 striker formation but both of them want the ball played into the box. Nobody dropping deep to combine with the rest of the midfield. If City weren't wearing blue youd think it was RM. Exactly the same type of safe passing and wingers trying to take on players. At least Savinho is playing crosses. Don't know what Doku is doing
Should be In the rules. Coin toss at the start to see which keeper has to wear a cap and which has to wear jogging bottoms
I don’t enjoy watching Savinho play football. It’s probably more about his role and Pep’s stuff but man it’s not pleasing at all. Doku is at least fun to watch on the run.
The problem is City is like us in the fact they play so slow with lethargy and zero off ball movement. Only difference is Doku passes back while Vinny does a headless chicken routine.
