How wonderful of France to allow these people to be poor in their wonderful country after they colonized their land and stole their belongings.

Lmao. Alot of European countries have a past they would much rather forget. Nowadays we are the moral authority but back then, let's say we weren't quite so much about that.

His mother didn't have Nigerian ancestry.

That relationship he had is probably going to be one he heavily regrets in the future

The saddest thing there is using Whataboutism to try and justify Argentinians racism and that this morons filmed themself being racist-trans haters.
What's next, somebody will ask why is this 'racism, isn't it true?'

Spain did that to every South and North American country that speaks Spanish now. Yet wasn't an immigrant friendly country for those people they colonized. Even UK is better than Spain in that aspect.

Mbappe never dated the transgender. They had her mistaken with a female friend he was hugging on a boat somewhere. They have the same name and look similar but it wasn’t the trans person. It was a friend. The media just ran with it.

I’m sorry but anyone who thinks Argentine players and even fans understand the nuance of the globalism/colonization convo is gullible.

It was a chant with racist undertones period.

I got banned from Argentina forum because i was defending the racist comments from Argentine posters pre-World cup final . They are so open with their racism but don’t like being called out on it

It's a nice comfy space to live in, especially if you as a human being never ever have to actually feel the effects of racism, then you never have to lift a finger to do anything about it in any way, not even discuss it rationally, just say, hey, everyone does it so it's all good, we even learned it's the culture of a country ( although for Argentina that's as close to true as you can get), maybe in a hundred years it will just all magically change on it's own, why bother talking about it all humans are garbage blah blah blah.....

Yeah you'll receive explanations, defensive responsive and ridicule for speaking against this.

Trash people who aren't worth reasoning with talk much reading or hearing anything they have to say.

Anyways yeah, Argentina as a country is just as these players have represented themselves

I’ve met a great share of Argentinians here in Florida and in my line of work and I have to say my experience with them has been quite positive. Actually better than people from other countries including my own

so while there is a large share of idiots, I can’t say the majority behave this way when that has been far from my experience

The irony is many of them don't even live in Argentina and some aren't even from there at all. They absolutely should know better but when there isn't anything else positive going on in the country, footballers are held to saint-like statuses and can do no wrong.

National team football is inferior version of the sport including the amped up individuals losing their minds over a game

Also because of the prick Emi Martinez was mocking Mbappe after the WC final; I think that's when the song first came about.

But some people found it a bit questionable when I pointed out a couple months ago that, in general, black people seem more likely to make for better athletes than white people. Not a statement made with any judgment, any criticism, any idea of type-casting or whatever, just a basic observation that can be made watching the French football team, or Real Madrid, or literally any basketball or American football game played in North America.

People get so concerned about race that they tell themselves that their eyes are lying to them. Meritocracy, f*ck it, I just want to watch the best players play these games, and if they're black then so be it, I literally couldn't be bothered about what their skin color is.

I share a lot of similar sentiments. It's why I stopped caring about American teams or athletes in these kinds of competitions several years ago. As I often say - we have no control over where we're born, who our parents are, what our religion is, our sex, any of that, it's all entirely arbitrary. We're supposed to root for the countries we're born in because...it's just what we're supposed to do, no critical thought involved. Considering I find America a bigger failure of a country every single day, I don't see why I'm supposed to give two shits about how our teams do.

I've kinda landed on being a German football supporter in more recent years simply because I've always been a huge Bundesliga fan and feel a cultural connection there. (Before anyone asks, I do have German ancestry, but it's generations removed and my ability to speak German is horrible; it makes no difference.) That's all I care about and, again, as a white person watching, if Jamal Musiala is the best player on the German team, I really couldn't care less if he's black or not, if he's got Nigerian ancestry, whatever. I saw some wiseguy write a comment the other day from an old video of the 2006 Germany team that touted "local talents"...Musiala was born in Germany, Tah was born in Germany, Rudi was born in Germany, Sané was born in Germany...you know who wasn't born in Germany? Podolski and Klose. But I guess they're overlooked because they're white, right.

Kramer, who was doing the broadcast in Germany was criticized a bit for this but he said "the broadcast for the national team games is mostly watched by casuals that don't care about football so we have to dumb it down for them".

Cucurella was boohed for a handball not given as if he was the referee. People are total idiots that did the same when Italy beat Germany in 2006.

Osimhen heavily linked with QSG move. Seems a good move by QSG. They need a CF and with how many crosses Dembele spams into the box Osimhen will have the perfect profile for what they need
