    Well … also Camainga was actually born in Angola even if he grew up in France for the age of 2. So that could be why they used it .
    I don’t think it has to do with which countries France colonized . That’s not really central to the intent .

    They are not making assumptions. They are laughing at someone. People should expect less from football players, especially woke positions. These are rich men who get into football to bang women first, have a career second.

    We don’t see players saying Argentineans are Nazis because of some ancestors . The problem here is when players do it . Yes we don’t expect much from players in terms of role models , but there should be some limits where they get checked . Their employers can take care of that .

    All the French players were raised in France. Funny thing is both Spanish CBs Laporte and Le Normand were raised in France until adulthood. They played for Spain because France didn't call them up.

    I don't recall France using the loophole to "steal" adult players as they already have plenty of talent. Portugal did that with Deco, Pepe & Spain with Diego Costa, Senna, French CB duo etc. Italy were one of the first to do this with Camoranesi who went to Italy when he was 23. :D

    The U17 PSG team played a youth team tournament in Germany and there was not a single white player on the roster, bench and starters.

    The comment section was absolutely nuts, as well as the comments around the facilities.


    You might have a point in calling the song disgusting but it doesn't change the fact that a lot of European countries that now preach arts and culture, were brutal colonizers in the past.

    They are saying France is importing non-French talent and still lost. But yeah , they don’t sing about Griezmann for example being half Portuguese and half German . The implication , or at least how it’s interpreted in France socially, is that immigrants of African descent can never truly be French even if they are born there. It doesn’t separate ancestry from nationality .

    Le Pen was famous for saying that he wouldn't root for France because so many foreign players play for them, now France went and voted for his daughter.

    This is what I hate about national team football, sooner or later it all boils down to nationalism.

    I don't see a problem if France is benefitting on sports front as a result of them being one of the more immigration friendly countries in Europe.

    It's not like they pick and choose these players from African academies. Many Africans immigrate to France and some of them have kids who are great at football.

    Right . It feeds into the political climate of the country . Not that it makes that much difference . But some of these players should be familiar with this ad they have played in France .

    Euro and CA just showed how everyone hates each other. As the WC did. People hate each other. People within countries hate each other. People within households hate each other.

    We are tribalistic. It will take thousands of years for people from certain regions to forget what their neighbors/other nations did to them, if humanity survives that long.

    Diversity is not a strength when you're dealing with people who hate and envy each other. Maybe we will get there one day, but it will probably take an alien invasion to unite us. I wouldn't bet on it, though.
