Well to be completely honest the team that went on a tear had players from largely average LaLiga clubs. Club football is several levels above international competitions
The 3 that have been talked about for quite a while as being the ones between which the England manager will be chosen are Howe, Potter and Carsley. O'Neil has also been mentioned lately, but it's way too early in his career IMO. I would be shocked if Tuchel got it. Giving the national team manager job to a German would be a very unpopular decision among a certain section of supporters.
Also, its kind of amateur-looking to wear a club team jersey at a national team match. National team matches are supposed to unite football fans in a country while club team jerseys do the exact opposite. Trust me, people will make fun of you.
Newcastle’s chief executive, Darren Eales, has warned the Football Association that the Saudi Arabian-owned club will fight to keep Eddie Howe and remain committed to a manager they “love”. Howe is high on the FA’s shortlist to succeed Gareth Southgate as England manager and it is understood his Newcastle contract contains a £5m release clause but Eales believes the 46-year-old would miss the day-to-day challenge of club management. “I’m not going to talk about the specifics of Eddie’s contract but he’s on a multi-year deal which was extended last summer,” he said. “He’s our employee and we’re not looking to release Eddie. “He’s a top coach, he’s the right coach for Newcastle United at the right moment. This is the coach we want to lead the club for the [foreseeable] future. We’re hoping that, with Eddie, we’ve got a coach for the long term. “He’s under a long-term contract, he loves the day-to-day of club football and we have an exciting project here in terms of the commitment from the ownership and the journey we want to go on. We are really excited about the season ahead.”
Obviously, club teams with better finances can pick and choose who they want in their team. With NT's you're stuck with the players available only from your country. Compare the valuation of the Brazil or France team to a team like Ukraine or Turkey. Moreover, club teams train together for 10 months out of the year together. NT's only train one time every couple of months then for 1 month during the tournament. Hence why you have a poor showing from teams like Brazil, France, etc. NTs have very little time to experiment, etc.
@J-Mezzy So what was the deal with them double selling your seats ? Did the people in your seats actually have tickets for them ? I mean, the mess that it was is one thing, but double selling a seat would be on a completely different level of incompetence.
Good, F*** this racist bastards 🚨 The president of the FFF has filed a lawsuit for abusive remarks of a racial and discriminatory nature. #CFC pic.twitter.com/ncQPtlFnXT— Pys (@CFCPys) July 16, 2024
It’s happened to me before when I took my daughter to wrestlemania but that was solved quickly since there was no entry issue. I went to the admin office and they assigned me new seats but since the entry here was a shit show, if I went to the admin office (which would be packed given the issues and probably useless) I would miss the game since we were allowed in at the start of the match I’ve send a dispute with Amex. But the way it happens is tickets get listed across several platforms and somehow double sold this is worse than Wrestlemania as those tickets were double sold by a regular person. I bought these club seats directly from stadium staff so the fact that they then listed the seats on Ticketmaster is inexcusable
Hope Chelsea punish Enzo as well. You can tell Mbappe/France is the last thing many Argentines think about before they go to sleep.
Yeah I don’t understand why they were taking a shot at France after barely beating a Colombian team that played nervous and showed its inexperience
The most pathetic thing was after Argentina lifted the trophy and Dibo started singing about Mbappe. This dude just scored 4 times against you, could you be more of joke. i wish we will meet Vila in the CL, so Mbappe and Vini could celebrate on Dibo ass.
I don't even blink at the decime decime Brasil song they like so much because at the end of the day its a rivalry but bringing up France and Mbappe every time they get together is just bizarre. I'm assuming because he almost sent their nation into a collective mental breakdown with his hattrrick. Its like they're traumatized from him.
France has needed every single voter in the country to unite in voting for a person they don't want to elect in order to prevent a right wing government from being formed for the past 3 election cycles or so. Clearly France is a right leaning country themselves to a large extend. At this point it's horrible people calling out each other. Not even going to get into the horror stories we've heard from youth academies in France. This is a great sport played and funded by a majority of horrible people
I would have guessed its because of Mbappe's comments about the Euros being harder and South American teams being underdeveloped or something along those lines. Then again, Argentina winning the Copa and Mbappe stinking up Germany for a full month only supports Mbappe's argument.

🔵🇧🇷 Understand Chelsea have genuine interest in Gremio talent Gabriel Mec.He’s considered as one more gem from Brazil; Chelsea have opened talks to understand deal conditions.Born in 2008, Gabriel Mec is appreciated by many clubs but Chelsea are pushing, as per @rdimortal. pic.twitter.com/HrE7sAFSQf— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 16, 2024 After Paez and Estevao, now Mec Chelsea wants all young talents @hector_br
I have no idea who that guy is. Gonna have to ask my GF who is a Gremio supporter, lol. Probably the next Messi, of course.
Argentina is pathetic but I'm not sure what the basis is for a lawsuit... The world has plenty of bad people civil penalties are going to change that.
