would be sweet to have City go home early... There's going to be a lot of drama in the final game for sure.
I wasn’t sold on him after seeing him in the WC. He’s got some good ability going forward but makes so many big mistakes defensively.
Gvardiol Is being asked to play LB. That's like asking Rudiger to play RB. I think he is a very good CB completely handicapped by Peps fetish for playing players out of position
Unless you watch him week in week out I'm not really sure how you can comment on his defensive abilities. He's playing for a team in shambles this season and now he's defensively weak because an Aerial duel bounced off of him and went the wrong way or he misplaced a pass 10 games ago. He literally had a goal line clearence in the first half preventing a clear goal. He's also a centre half being used as a left back where he isn't agile enough. Real Madrid bought Tchouameni for almost the same price and I don't really see what he does for how much he was because Real play better without him.
Yeah I would 100% go for Gvardiol to be a future center back for us. I think once Alaba leaves I can see us making a move for him. He is not a good LB but a really good CB from what I have seen.
Gvardiol cost City 90 ME though so price tag will be higher than that. If Arsenal continues to win nothing, Saliba might not renew beyond his current 2027 contract. They might have to make a decision whether to cash in during 2026 summer.
He’s just not athletic enough to play at the highest level as a defender. All defenders make mistakes but his seem to be massive when they do. If you look at the City Reddit forum even they are pointing this out. Without the effective press in front of him to mask some of his deficiencies, he’s not worth the large fee.
Saliba would be perfect Rudiger replacement in couple of years tbh. He's only 23 and I don't see him spending his entire prime at Arsenal. Arteta not gonna take them to next level.
There's a great possibility we're going to face one of them. If we're lucky enough it could be one of Benfica/Sporting/Brugge/PSV or even Stuttgart.
Would be a good hire. I'm not even being ironic or clever about it, Dortmund need some experience on the bench and a look from outside, literally every single hire is a nepotism/hire from within move. Gotta get some fresh eyes on the kitchen to see why the breading always comes out wet instead of crunchy.
Suarez playing just 73 CL games over an entire career seems odd. (Vinicius is at 61 i believe?) On second thought, i see he has 27 Europa League games and 11 goals there to go along with that. Still, at the end of his career Vinicius should have well over 100 games in Europe no?
I hope not (neither do i believe so), that clip is from about a million years ago or so. Would be some "rentfree in your head" type stuff if it was.
This new CL format is a godsend and it has made the competition better. I love that we've had so many results like that, even if we've been on the side that caught the whooping.
