Hence I mentioned highest paid deals. RM, Barca and Utd are the ones who get mega deals and it's always long term ones. Liverpool were with small players like NB until 2020.

Even after signing with Nike, they don't get close to RM, Barca level money. You can't have world record deals and dictate to Adidas/Nike that it should be 4-5 years.

Barca had to do all the legal drama with Nike because it was a long term deal they wanted to get out of. And despite Nike's association with Barca for several decades, they didn't relent for two years to Laporta.

Shirt deals vary depending on what the clubs achieve and what competitions they are in. What a club will earn each year of the deal will vary.

Man Utd also got a big deal because they opted to take more 'basic' money in theirs, therefore giving up the right to earn anything at all from the sale of each shirt.

Yeah, because it would involve two things I'd be very curious to see:

Guardiola dealing with a highly volatile and not entirely competent roster

    and

Brazil being managed by a foreigner

Recipe for disaster, but it would certainly be fun to watch.

RM might have to settle for plan B options for TAA if Pool win PL and City is get hefty punishment for financial fraud.

Nike pays Liverpool a base fee of 36 million euros, supplemented by royalties, bringing the total closer to 60 milions.
Liverpool will part ways with Nike and reunite with Adidas in a new kit supplier deal worth 60 million euros per year.

Arsenal signed new deal with Adidas t lasting until 2030, or the end of the 2029/30 season. This replaced the club’s previous kit deal lasting until 2024, adding an extra six years to the contract.
The new deal with Adidas will be worth an extra 18 millions euros a year plus a significant upfront bonus. It's a total of 90 millions euros per year.
Until the new deal they got 72 millions euros per year.

I would love it but it's easy to kick Man City while they're on their worst run in the last decade plus with Pep leaving.

I'd have liked the PL to have the stones to sanction City while they were still flying high and the league's best chance at winning a CL.

Exactly. Adidas gave RM 110 ME plus 50 variables deal few years back. You can't ask short term contracts when they are giving you record deals. You can use rivalry to get more money to an extent, but neither Nike nor Adidas will agree to short term deals that could ruin the market place.

Listen man, when the club says no one convinced them they mean no one.

We'll line up with a back four with our RB being filled with the Ghost of Jovic's Past before we buy or use anyone from the academy.

Leverkusen could get knocked out of the Pokal being 10 points behind Bayern in the League but you don't hear sheeeeet from the same people that criticize Carlo despite having a wildly successful last season.

    I wonder why.

He is being given the benefit of doubt because of the quality of his roster. He massively overachieved last season.

Leverkusen remained unbeaten in the league last season with several late goals. That kind of hunger is clearly missing from the players after winning the double.

Seems like Xabi hasn't been able to keep them motivated either. On paper, squad only got better with them adding Girona's best midfielder.

RM squad for decades has had motivation issues after a successful season as well. Mou's 100 point season was followed by a terrible start in 2012-13. Same in 2017-18 after double winning season under ZZ. 2014-15 and 2022-23 under Carlo also similar.

Since 1990, RM have only defended league title once. It was in 2007-08 with a new coach after Capello was sacked despite winning La Liga the previous season.

I't also simply not a reliable strategy, and yet the same people that slam Carlo/the club for it, were waiving their pom poms "he has the remontada spirit".

    Please.

If they win you'll feel like you can't stop throwing up gold. Suffering but happy at the same time.

Real Madrid historically performs better with a flexible not micro management-style coach. Alonso seem to be in that category. However i prefer to see how he handles Leverkusen this season first, before making a decision.
