RAC1 reported the renewal of the contract between Nike and FC Barcelona, which will ease the financial situation of the Blaugrana club.

A renewal bonus of close to one hundred million euros will be added. The agreement, in total, could mean Barcelona will earn around 120 million euros per season.

Barca signed a new contract with Nike.

The money they will get from the contract is only €4 millions more the RM*. with the signing bonus it will be about €11 million more.

9 year agreement is so foolish. We’ve left 100m on the table, easy.

More like you are ignorant about this. 10-15 years is the standard with kit deals. RM usually has the the shortest among highest paid deals.

Barca current deal is until 2028, but Laporta did a lot of drama even as far as taking Nike to court, almost breaking off relationship out of desperation due to their financial situation. Eventually both sides agreed not to part ways after all the drama.

Man City just kicking off against Brighton. Guardiola aiming for a 4th defeat in a row?

Villarreal looking good for Top 4 this season. Played well against Barca and beat their offside trap too, but couldn't convert couple of chances at 2-1.

Without genius wizard Rodri around, they won't win anything.

I’m flabbergasted how poor City have been after Rodri’s injury. This CL is totally up for grabs

Rodri is so important for City despite City automating most of the play says alot about his ability.

See their rivals not taking advantage of their dry patch and City winning yet another PL by the end of the season.

Surprised Pep hasn't tried Akanji or Gvardiol as DM. Kovacic - Nunes midfield has been a disaster.

Would be hilarious if their financial doping verdict comes out next month with significant punishment.

your ignorant, Liverpool had a 5 year deal and Arsenal had 6 for example.

I’ve worked in this space before and have first hand knowledge.

The reason for the length of contracts is to ensure the pipeline of production is fully thought through. It takes up to 2 years to develop and design the kits and then market and manufacture them at big clubs.

You put pressure on Nike or Addias to compress that time, you’ll get what you want. Especially a big club like RM. They hold all of the cards in this case.
