I can very much imagine Guardiola going into the next step and taking on either a technical director job or a department chief job like Klopp.

Undav: "I asked Haaland for his shirt after a game and he just turned around and said "no".
After that experience I swore to myself I'll never ask a player ever again.
While playing for Brighton I scored against Arsenal and City locked the title up, the next time we player Manchester City a team manager came over to me and said Akanji asked for my shirt and I was so happy. He was a great person. A fantastic guy."

Would be the end of an era. How weird.

I think about 6 to 8 years in football now is what 20 years+ was in the past.

Sadly the media coverage here of Tuchel being named manager is as awful as you would expect.

The club is run by fools and that's the exact reason it won't have any affect on the club aside from the bottom line. Doesn't matter when they do it.

Inviting a team to play in a friendly would probably cost the club about 2 million euros. They're clearly in penny pinching mode which is strange given their transfer policy (if you can call it that).

The ex players and pundits are doing the most. Forget this gen, I've seen talented English squads since I took interest in football in 98. Those squads were amazing, then 2002 and 2004. The only thing they lacked was a good squad outside the XI, which the current gen actually have. If I were an England fan, I would not care about nationality.

Some analyst said it isn't even about a foreigner but rather the fact TT is German lol.

When one of the first questions is "will you sing God save the king being German" sums up the media. Trying to stir shit before he's even put out his first ever England 11

Oh it's 100% because he is German.

It's kind of hard to explain the mentality of this country sometimes, and the main one is the mentality that remains around WW2. I had hoped it was dying out with my parents generation but sadly it's not.

TT is in for a rough ride as England manager. Any loss or below par performance will bring awful comments about his nationality, and a couple of our national newspapers will there stirring up trouble loudly in the background.

Football fans will be football fans. If he wins them a tournament he'll be a national hero too.

    Manager’s nationality is irrelevant

I prefer international managers to be honest. Less favoritism and manipulation by the press or league.

Yeah, thin line. If Southgate would have won at least one final of that two, everyone would say 'great job, great coach, history makers and so on'.

Southgate is certainly one of the best England managers ever. You can argue about his competition, but that's a fact nobody can take away from him.

This guy made Xavi, Iniesta, and Messi's accolades much less meaningful. Of course you can play fine football when your opponents are grabbed by the neck and can't touch you to avoid being sent off.

I don't know what to say. The English should not be concerned about the nationality of their coach. But I can see the same outcry if Brazil hires an Argentine or vice versa. Or Mexico with an American.

PS: He is not the first foreigner to take over England, but of course, I know that he is a German.

I believed no money was founded to have exchange between Juventus and any referees during the Calciopoli case. In this Negreia case, there were 7.3 million euros.

Sometimes I think Vinicius could use some of this confidence to rub off on him. Not everybody will like you and that's okay, save yourself the time and stress of worrying about what they think.
