Guler saving his country at the 88th minute. Things you love to see

Really well done by that winger to press and cause the GK to make that error

In other news Gyökeres is fabulous. Deserves a better team than Sporting

Guler looks like the real deal, huh? He needs more minutes with Madrid. I'd hate to see him doing well somewhere else.

France beat Belgium again in Belgium. Terrible game though as have the regulars were rested (Thuram, Nkunku, Theo Hernandez, Camavinga and Olise). The only relevant part... Tchouameni was atrocious and even got a red card.

He's got what feels like a million years on his contract. I don't see the need to panic.

On the flipside they deserve credit for investing in him when many others said he was too expensive for a lifelong second division player.

I hope whichever club buys him has to spend every single cent they have for him.

INEOS keep making bad decisions after bad decisions so far. SAF didn't really have any power in his current role anyway, it's just a cost-saving effect.

too bad it's a suspension from 1 game and not 2. if it's was 2, then he would miss the international break at November.

Something I learned recently is that this guy has tanked two clubs before taking on this project. Incredible hustle.

I guess they can't look worse than they were under Southgate.

Yes. It won't go down well at all with a certain section of the fanbase.

Also there is a song that that section of England fans sing, which could make it pretty awkward.

How the hell are we not in for Zubimendi as Kroos replacement. Such a high volume passer who can also organise the build up and withstand pressing. Since we can't get Rodri this is the player we should put our money at next summer.

He doesn't want to leave at all. Many clubs have tried.

He probably had an agreement with the club not to leave at the same transfer window as other important players (Merino).

Guys there is a conspiracy theory I heard from a mate. It is insane but I like the angle. Tuchel gets an 18 month contract, Pep gets the England job after this is over with the Sheikh subsiding his wages (FA budget is 5m while Pep earns 20 at City), via a secret prearranged contract between the three and the 114 charges are dropped.

Yes - only an issue with those still living in 1939 though.

There was a vague rumor I heard a while back about Xabi wanting Zubimendi once he comes here...cannot emphasize "vague" enough however.

Sensible move. Paying him more than £2m (I assume based on the language) to do essentially nothing is a waste of money. It's not like Manchester United have been a roaring success with him in this role.

Yeah, I thought maybe it would be sensible of him to not just take a 2 million pension from the club for being Alex Ferguson.

On the other hand, I am absolutely convinced there's others taking more from it while doing less.

It's just incredibly bad communication during the season. Why couldn't this have been done either last summer or the next one? Tie it up with an event, an a friendly match against his team from Scotland. Get Aberdeen in and play an "Alex Ferguson Cup".

It's like the club is run by total fools.
