Deschamps is quite average coach and would be a massive failure in any top club with out a single doubt. He has good defensive foundations but the attack is absolutely not his area at all. If he gets some top club spot he will be sacked within a year.

International football level is a new team put together and playing for first time kinda atmosphere and that makes most teams very poor ,in that arena Deschamps do well with the massive talent he has in defence and athleticism but still a average coach.

    21 coaches since 1930, 22 World cups.

Having your name on that list is kind of special considering who's in there. Deschamps has done well just by winning a single tournament. A lot of countries go decades, generations without winning nothing, despite having generational talent.

Don't know what you mean by compression, but no way do I give up Yamal for €150mn. So, yeah, looks absurd at first glance to link a 17 y/o with that value but after a few seconds of thought its like "ok, that's about right".

Still not sure I get it. :p

I mean, obviously this doesn't take into account inflation. And inflation is insane in the football world, therefore no teenager pre-2015 has a chance to be on this list no matter how amazing he was. So, might as well just replace "all time" with "last 7 years" in the title.

This kid needs to start for Real Madrid sooner rather than later, too much technique and intelligence

You understand perfectly, and i believe you also understand that 7 years in football with the exceptional grow of player worth it is also a dumbass comparison between a player worth at 2017 to a player worth at 2024.

Yes, but club earnings have also sky rocketed. 20 years ago clubs like Madrid and Barca were raking in around 200m a year I think. Now they are raking in near 1b. That's 4-5x in 20 years.

World cup winning being special because of how infrequent it is one thing but that does not make the football level of international football anywhere near club football level.

If world cup was here every year then it's exclusivity factor will be gone and it will be assessed better for it's low level of football.

Simply put world cup being the pinnacle of some sort is for casuals, players don't rate each other like that nor do coaches.

I don't know why we don't really go for the world class Spanish 6 type players after Xabi. We missed on Rodri and now the next one is possibly Zubimendi.

Since Kroos left we really need a proper 6 as replacement and with Modric and Ceballos leaving we have a space for a player like Zubimendi badly.

Zubimendi rejected Barca and Liverpool in consecutive summers. Xavi tried his best to convince him. So far he's showing the kind of commitment to Real Sociedad that De Rossi showed to Roma.

My word. Poch has the US team playing a 3-4-2-1 formation.

It's his first game and the pressure of hosting the world cup is clearly getting to him, I think the man has already lost the plot.

That midfield will miss Kante dearly. He hides many many issues with how it flows. Another chap missed is Pogba. The link from defence to attack flowed with Griezmann, Pogba and Kante in midfield. The next gen are good individually but don't see them having this chemistry.

Also, that attack is blunt I'm sorry. None of them are convincing. Dembele lmao. Thuram also is one of those guys who I always see on thr scores scoresheet but for me every time I tune in to France or Inter he has a stinker. Not good enough.

He stayed because of the European football sociedad is playing this year.

Next year I am not sure they will be there and Zubimendi will be definitely be open to make the move.

He is playing at Europe with Sociedad already from season 2020/2021.it's said that Sociedad promised him to be the biggest earner in the club if he won't move to Liverpool. but now they backed off from the promise.

Haven’t watched any Nations League games, but he looked like the Make a Wish foundation pulled some string to have him play at the Euros. Surely at this point he is just holding the national team hostage?

Kinda ironic how his prime was wasted on playing with absolute dross and now Portugal can actually field a proper team but Ronaldo is way past it.

Kristiansen admits he hit out at Yamal to show him that "he's not afraid of him".
