Klopp taking an administrative desk job wasn't on my checklist of things to happen. 🚨 Jurgen Klopp joins The Red Bull Group as new Global Head of Soccer, coordinating all the clubs including RB Leipzig, Salzburg and more.Klopp will advise all the clubs on transfers/strategy from January 1, 2025.“I want to develop the incredible soccer talent that we have”. pic.twitter.com/RTq4TpC2Iy— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) October 9, 2024
Interesting... Paris FC in Ligue 2 is being sold to Red Bull (Klopp just took over as football general manager) and The Arnault Family (owners of LVMH worth 195 billion, which I think makes Barnard Arnault the richest man in the world currently). They are looking to create another football powerhouse in Paris. Getting the club very cheaply but investing billions to get it up to Ligue 1 and then compete. Paris FC is top of the table in Ligue 2 right now. Even rumors that they're going to buy the Parc des Prices from under PSG's nose and then kick them out looooool. Can you imagine .
Palmer winning best player is so ridiculous. Guy barely played. I suppose the "who else" didn't go down so well with certain players on the team.
Palmer is the best English player right now and it's not even close. Guy has been a complete flamethrower for Chelsea over the past 18 months or so. Reading what a lot of British fans and media are saying his selection by the players is a knock at him not playing in the euro. Bellingham hasn't been the same player since the winter break of last season.
As far as Jude goes i actually think he's been playing just fine, the problem is his goalscoring early in his career with us, he wasn't a prolific goalscorer before he joined us, just an excellent two way player like Luka, who could score, but that goalscoring streak that he had so early in his career at the biggest most demanding club in the world has meant they are now different expectations of him. I personally never thought he'd keep that up, (maybe he'll still prove me wrong), he filled a hole that we had last season, but i thought at the time, when Kylian arrived this season , he'll be a bit further from goal an asked to play a bit of a different role, and as noted here by myself and others, there is only one ball, the goals will be much more spread out, even moreso than last season, IMO Jude is right where he should be in terms of form, he is for sure one of our better performers this season and played well last season too even after the goals dried up somewhat, i certainly don't rate him any less because he's not as prolific as last season at this time
But this award is for performance with the NT and Palmer didn't even play much. If it weren't for Judes goals they would've gone out in thr group stage. You can knock the coach for not selecting a player but it's a slap in the face of the real best players when you use that as a means to give your coach a message. Palmer is playing well but Jude's season last year was extraordinary.
Think an area Jude can improve on is creativity. Not much in the way of creativity coming from him. It's a contributing factor to our lack of scoring goals right now. All the creativity is coming from a 40 year old Modric. Effort is there with Jude but need to see more from him in the attacking third. Just passing it back and forth with the midfielders won't help us create chances.
Jude is just not that creative for an AM, especially an elite one. But he is a football player man. The running, the work rate, the clutch ness, the goal scoring. Great player
It was voted by the players. If he's not voted by his team mates, that has its reasons. He's still just one of 11 players so if he's really not being a good presence inside the team, maybe it's something he can work on. Bellingham having a negative rapport with so many guys on former teams just doesn't look good for me no matter how much we use our fan goggles to act like he's just ambitious. Being a good team mate is a skill.
Nah humans are biased. Voting based on their feeling is always the issue. The "who else?" celebration alone may have offended some of them. People are always sucker for humility. By the stats, I wanted to emphasize the fact that Bellingham's role and assignments are different from last season. I see more defensive task.
I completely agree hence why I mentioned that him mouthing "who else" probably didn't sit well with alot of the NT players. So far Jude has an excellent reputation at RM but I don't like him throwing his arms up when he isn't passed the ball.
He left his former team and we found out that despite being the arguably best player by far he was pretty unpopular to the point where some people were happy he was gone. I know he suits up for Madrid so even if he beats up a pregnant lady there would be people defending him, but this is an unpopular player within his peers not being popular again. It's not that complicated, if he's an ass i'm not going to make some weird "yeah, he's committed to SUCCESS" framework to excuse him being a jerk, especially since it's not a requirement. You can succeed and be a kind person. He's incredibly young, and life teaches us valuable lessons. He might look at himself 5 years from now and regret his attitude.
I keep reading all this stuff about him being unpopular with teammates , but i can't find any evidence of that, where can i find this stuff
