I can't believe Monaco won. EXTREMELY young team that lost some key players from last year (Fofana to AC Milan, Ben Yedder to jail lol, Camara to Al Saad)... but per usual, spent for very unproven kids, Nice to see from every perspective for me. I hope La Liga teams take note of how Monaco played Barca.
You mean not scared? I don't understand why La Liga teams still think that Messi, Neymar, Suarez, Iniesta, Xavi, etc are on the other side with Pep as the manager. They're all gone! Just go after them and good things will happen.
Exactly Make them suffer as we suffer The problem is that Barca create pressure and hold the ball too much
Losing an away game playing with 10 men for 80+ minutes in the CL is almost a given, I don't know why people make a big thing out of this. They do, they have some details to sort out (like De Paul making some brain-fart passes or possible lack of depth in a couple of positions) but it looks like they will be competitive this season.
Well.. DS is the most earned coach in the world … AM is very good and hard team, especially at home. Yet, they always lose to Barca
BTW The final easily could be RM vs AM (we had twice) AM is very hard team to play I truly think by March/April we will be massive Our main rival is City or AM maybe Every team doesn’t want to play AM in KO
Griezmann is getting old. Not sure he can stay at a top level consistently anymore, especially given how Atleti play. They rely on him a lot creatively. To me, his level will dictate how well Atleti do. Last year, when he lost form Atleti lost form.
I know one thing When we play 4-4-2 Tchumeni, Camavinga, Bellingham, Valverde Vini - Mbappe on the bench: Endrick, Brahim, Guler and Rodrygo We can win it again p.s My only concern is Militao Endrick can kill teams in the Knockout
The other thing is they have to keep their best CB (Gimenez) fit. Other than that, I don't see a whole lot of issues with them when they play. They look comfortable and fluid with the ball, they can press well etc.
It's very obvious. People and media who attempt to make light of the fact they manipulated the officiating selection for two decades are either disingenuous, happy with the results or low IQ. They literally have a roster of officials who are automatically sympathetic to barca so it effects who they call every one of their matches. They avoid cards, penalties, etc.. and this builds a mystique for them because opponents know they amhave to beat that team and whatever call or non-call that benefits them. In CL they get no such favors and are always stunned the fouls they do in league get pushed outside of it. Same goes for the other benefits.
Don't let the fact that Madrid have scored 4 times as many penalties in La Liga as Barca this season distract you from the fact that the referees are very against Madrid. #laughable
I think there’s actually tangiable stats with fouls and cards someone has made which actually supports this and it aligns when the supposed payments were made. So these figures are from a long period of time.
Cubarsi should have got second yellow card in first half itself vs Valencia. Barca doesn't get away with such stuff in CL. Barca paid Negreira to relegate and promote refs in their favour. That's blatant corruption.
Part of the messages between them disclose that Laporta wanted to stop their relationship, but at that point Negreira had so much dirt on him they had to pay him to shut up. I think Barca have to be punished in some capacity but it's clear the club were taken for a ride. It's practically impossible to manipulate result for as long as they paid him and NOTHING to be on it and NOBODY to talk. Usually with those scandals they either find something or somebody cracks, but the fact that Laporta clearly had enough of him at some point basically tells you what they got out of this. For me the worse scandal is the Pique stuff. Not only because it's a backroom deal, but also because those games abroad are actually being played right now and he profited from them. When it comes to this season, we've got almost as many penalties as the rest of the league did together, with the latest Vinicius one being ridiculed everywhere outside of Madrid and the internal press row of Marca and AS. That happens with Barca and our press runs stories about the league and how unreliable it all is.
Barcelona will play against Bayern Munich, their jinx team. And the, their last three games would be Borussia Dortmund, Benfica and Atalanta. Both Borussia and Benfica had impressive away wins last night while Atalanta was looking good against Arsenal. Let's see.
Atalanta and Benfica they can win against but not so sure about Dortmund or Bayern to say the least. Though I'm certain they will make it to top 24 (and so will Girona)
