I don't know how other people see it but I for one think it's very hard to make an impact on a game if you touch the ball just 14 times.

 

It's a consistent issue with Haaland in big games. He gets isolated because he lacks link up skills. Aguero was a completely different profile. But Aguero also underperformed in CL big games just like Ibra who's technically supreme.

 

Haaland likes to play on the last line of the opposition defense and Guardiola's tactics/philosophy make it even harder to get him involved by turning players into automatons.
And I suppose if he played proper wingers out wide there'd be more space for Haaland as well.

 

Man Cities kit is absolutely hidious. Looks like a care bear took a random shit from a great height. What on earth were they thinking.

This is when the greatest of all time players make a difference no?, when the going is tough, he seemed to be involved very little in the general play ( which is my absolute biggest concern with this player) as per normal, and......... no acres of space to run around in like he seems to get in the EPL game after game, it's just one game though so.......... no one is on top of their game all the time

Yup, i used to bash Benz when he was a 9 and didn't score a lot because of course Ronaldo was the focal point, but Benz ALWAYS PLAYED FOOTBALL for the team, he never disappeared , Haaland is deadly in front of goal, a good player in that sense but just not the kind of player i like, when the going gets a bit tough he seems to disappear because he's just waiting around for something to come his way, i guess it works for him but i'd rather our team did not have this kind of player , as for GOAT striker, nah, he may yet have a sparkling CL season but just not my cup of tea

 

I think they will bounce back soon tbh. Its generally a good squad, but Fonseca is a dud. I think their scouting not being elite anymore is what hurts them the most. How do you replace Kalulu with Emerson Royal smh.

Think Leverkusen have played great on the counter. Not dominating or anything but they are essentially scoring with every chance. Olympiacos are unbelievably poor.

If we played today vs Feinoord no chance we will be 4-0 like Leverkusen. That’s mean that Carlo isn’t preparing the team correctly.
We are struggling too much. Every game is hard for us and that’s annoying
