Yes. Vini continues to be shockingly bad. But it's obviously also a lack of coaching and players making bad decisions. We typically figure something out come World Cup time though. But there is a serious lack of talent in too many positions.

How to actually run a successful club:

 

I don't know how many people tune in/out. Probably less than before. But I think most actual football fans still tune in. It's the casuals that don't There are just more entertainment options nowadays. It was a bit bizarre that the NFL game in Brazil was played at the same time as the game vs Ecuador. But I guess that decision was made a long time in advance.

Come WC time I think a lot of people do tune in though.

 

The crazy thing is the NFL game looked PACKED, like there wasn't a single seat available. A friend of mine wanted to go and checked for tickets and was number 865 thousand plus in the cue

 

Yes it was packed and it sold out instantly. Demand was high ... obviously because it's a 1st time event that will at most happen once a year. NFL gets robust coverage in Brazil with the availability of extra sports channels (ESPN - ESPN 5 and etc ...). When I lived in Brazil up to early 90s they had just started covering NFL ... but just the Super Bowl. I never thought it would catch on but it obviously has with a portion of people.

 

Same here, even though I actually did get tickets, I opted against it. One nosebleed ticket costs the same as an evening at the MXGP e event with the family which is something I'd just rather do because I know it's something that would make us all happy VS NFL which only I personally enjoy.

I can't justify spending 400 euro to see the two worst teams in the nfl despite supporting one of them.

 

American Football games are a better experience on TV IMHO. I didn't enjoy the live experience that much the times I've attended. Actual footy games I enjoy both in different ways.

 

Funny enough I've heard people say college football is the opposite where it's much more enjoyable being there, but the product is vastly different. The band and the actual students making up a part of the attendance makes it special I assume.

 

The game itself is about the same, but yeah, the fan atmosphere is much better at College Football. Same for College Basketball. It does make for a better experience overall.

 

It's the same across the world. When you win a gold medal you are the greatest person ever but when you ask for funding you are a greedy bastard despite there being reality TV show candidates getting paid more. Crazy
