Guess it's high time he had his own thread. That's three clubs in three years for the young man. Wings Up, Yanks Abroad (2012/13 Edition v1)
Wolfsburg now lists him as an Austrian-American. He has a Mexican-German teammate. https://www.vfl-wolfsburg.de/info/nachwuchs/saison-20132014/c-junioren-u15/kader.html
lyonel_hyer7 (Lyonel Hyer Jr.) Bio: American Boy, VfL Wolfsburg #7 ❤❤ ,Hannover Germany Google Translate: 39 players invited to the training camp of the U15 selection of NFV Lower Saxony football talents of the 1999 vintage take on 15 and 16 March on a U 15 part course in the sports school Barsinghausen. NFV coach Kiriakos Aslanidis nominated the following 39 players: ... Lyonel Hyer, ... (... VfL Wolfsburg), ... http://nordwestsport.biz/201213/ind...gslehrgang-der-u15-auswahl-des-nfv-eingeladen
Now with the U17s: https://www.vfl-wolfsburg.de/de/info/nachwuchs/mannschaften/b-junioren-u17/kader.html
Hyer made his first U-19 BL appearance for Hannover since August, subbing in for 13' vs. Isaiah Young and Werder Bremen.
Lyonel is now with Hannover's U19s. T'Markt has him with 9 appearances for them this season. As a '99, it would seem like he might be a theoretical option for the next U20 group, and with Cherundolo at the club it's hard to imagine U.S. Soccer isn't at least aware of him. https://www.hannover96.de/akademie/...=54816&cHash=453ac75b357c2953b1785c85d78646a8 https://www.transfermarkt.com/lyonel-hyer/profil/spieler/369880#subnavi Action photo: http://www.sportbuzzer.de/gallerie/hannover-96-u19-fc-st-pauli-u19/
contract expires this Summer and he has not started a game since October, every other game he's been sub, unused bench player, or not in the squad. today he was an 18 minute sub, being a 99, seems unlikely to get any promotion.
TM claims his contract expires in 2019, but he's not listed in the U23 roster on Hannover's site. He's too old for the U19 team. I'd guess he's not with the club; as @Ger90 mentioned in the previous post, U19 backups usually depart clubs when it comes time to decide who moves up to the U23s.
2 year move up, wut. saw recent mention that he was in like German 7th division or something like that.
Was with TSV Burgdorf in a recent match: https://www.extra-verlag.de/langenhagen/sport/naroska-setzt-den-einzigen-glanzpunkt-d152526.html
Listed on Burgdorf's roster page, which might or might not be up-to-date, as "Heyer." https://www.tsv-burgdorf-fussball.de/1-herren/
