I think that is his 6th and 7th of the season... not bad for 17 games.

He's made a huge difference since returning from injury. Very lively, three goals in last two games. Best he's looked since the start of last season.
Sunderland have been playing 3-4-2-1 the last four or five games. He's playing as one of the two, nominally on the left, but with free rein to go just about anywhere. Suits him well.

Years ago, Paul Arriola told me Lynden Gooch was built like a rugby player. That’s even more true now. He has a very different build as a soccer player. He has a low center of gravity and is very physically powerful

So League One or the Scottish Championship are the right fit for him.

Keep the little one making voodoo dolls and playing with them scoring lots of goals, please. Let her try her hand with some of our other players over there.

And with this win away at MK Dons, Sunderland climbs back into the promotion playoff zone.

Rare chance for many of us to actually watch a live Sunderland game on ESPN+:

    https://www.livesoccertv.com/schedules/2020-01-24/

I am eager to see Gooch play.

As another huge bonus, Derby County will also be on ESPN+ the same day... I love watching Holmes play so I am really looking forward to it. What could be better?.... Well, Gio getting another appearance for BVB on Fox the same day. Could be a great day of football for US Intls.

If any of you plan on watching this on ESPN+ replay... make sure you fast-forward to around the 50th minute. It is an absolute snooze-fest before that. Gooch turned it on around minute 50 and played pretty well until near the end when he gave a few balls away. Kind of looked like he was gassed by the 85th... but he had several noticeable passes/dribbles... Although none of it was remotely earth shattering.
