    Los Angeles up 2-0 after 16 minutes. Glinton and Victorine. That's all I know.

    Sparse updates at

    http://www.lyn.no/visKamp.asp?id=445

    Lyn is playing a relatively strong squad from start. All but Rustadstuen and Hamoud would be considered starters in the Norwegian Elite. Sub Kristoffer Dahl would not. New goalkeeper Ali al-Habsi is apparently not playing.

    I read the read up...damn..if Albright is scoring on you...you know you have been drubbed

    I'd still like to see a roster...Wondering how lng the starters got in...Did Memo get any PT? In any case, good to see that Gavin seems to be recovered from the broken leg...wonder what the score would have been if Fish played...

    Go Galaxy!

    Yeah, baby!

    Let's show them how far MLS has come . . . I'm just really relieved to have the first win down - I was worried the team would be nervous. A win this big is exciting.

    Last year during the Norwegian Premier Legaue schedule, Rosenborg beat them 5-0.

    barring a series of catastrophic injuries, the galaxy are going to be a force this year.

    not that this result proves it, but they have talent, experience, are well coached, a good system, a proven striker, have added to their defense and to their depth, and will be opening the best spanking SSS in the country and playing in front of 20,000 grand on a consistent basis. should be a great year.

    of course, then there's always counting one's chickens too soon... ;)

    what do you expect

    Galaxy are currently ranked

    30th in the world club rankings,

    Teams like

    * River Plate *

    * Feyenoord *

    * Liverpool *

    * Chelsea *

    Behind us in the rankings... a lopsided victory over a norwegian side should be expected.

    What if we had the Fish there ?

    WOW

    Like any rabid LAG fan, I am delighted to see the ranking you quote, TJ - but that ranking has got to be a joke. I don't ever put much weight on those things, but to suggest we are at the same quality level of Chelsea or River Plate is, I submit, a bit of a stretch.

    Nope, that was 5-1. Lyn took the early lead, then were reduced to 10 men and collapsed. Because of injuries, Lyn had to bring 5 youth players as substitutes. Lyn's one goal was their 600th in the top flight.

    So, the last time they took a beating like this was the last time they played an American side :p

    Go Galaxy!

    By the way, Carlos Ruiz was in Norway a few seasons ago, training with Lyn and looking for a contract. Not sure why nothing came of it.

    [[Adin Brown and DJ Countess have also tried out for Lyn. Brown made an impression with his size and positive attitude, but was considered "not better than the goalkeepers we already have". Countess came across as way too cocky (pride/blowing own trumpet = mortal sins in Norway) and was basically disliked by the squad. I showed him and his dad around Oslo one day, and thought he was cool, but then again: I'm used to Americans...]]

    Odd Grenland are a weaker team than Lyn. Not sure how they stand in terms of injuries, but they've failed to replace departing players this offseason.
