I just saw the new Lunar Manias and I think their pretty nice but there isn't much of a color difference between them and the Champagne, weren't they supposed to come out with a gun metal grey mania? is that coming after the lunars? that would be a total of 6 colors just for one boot. thanks
They are or at least were going to make a gun metal color mania, no store is selling it yet but I have seen the boot in person it has a very similar color to the puma cell boots in grey, one of the hold up I hear in the release was what color to go with on the rubber vamp and adidas stripes on the tounge. The one I saw had white like the black mania's I am guessing that the new Supernova will be out sometime along with the gun metal manina's they just made the plastic part a new color and chaged the tounge color so it looks more like a Copa. do the gunmetal Manias have any relation in color to the Silver Predator's that were out a year or two ago? If so, I think it would look nice with white or red vamps......
www.adidas.com says that the lunar manias have a newly designed rubber vamp which gives more swerve. Anyone know what this is about? What's new about it?
They are darker than the ones your talking about, less silver and more of a grey like the new total 90 that just came out
Yea the New Vamp Idea, I went to the Adidas Store in my town and looked at the Lunar Manics, they didn't have the manias yet but the vamp on the Manics seemed to stick out more compared to my Blue predator manias. Some of us have been complaining that the Vamps on the manias don't come out as far as the Precisions did but I think the Lunars are different cuz the vamps come out more and give a better grip.
I don't suppose we'll see SuperNova's with a 6-studs due to the fact that it'll be similar to World Cups.
I am not too sure on that one, The new SuperNova i saw had the hardground bottom and the upeer was the only thing that was changed around to make the shoe look new. There is a new six stud Mania being sold in England so the outsole design is ther if they wanted to use it, since the Mania and the SuperNova share the same last and bottom anything is possible.
I think it's good that adidas are making a HG Supernova. Adidas doesn't have a professional level HG boot...it's either multi's or Mundial Teams. But a 6-stud Supernova would be just like a direct competitor to the World Cup.
This hard ground bottom being used is the same as the bottom on the little used hardground manias that came out at the launch out shoe last spring, its a moulded bottom with shorter and more dense studs on www.soccer.com if you search the Luner Mania they will have this bottom on a lunar boot
