Been hearing a lot about this kid...and he could play for Argentina qualifying through his parents or Mexico since he was born in Mexico or even Spain because he has citizenship there. But apparently he is the youngest player to play in La Liga at only 15 but I wonder if he has even signed a senior professional contract yet?
He will not play for Mexico unless Argentina deliberately does something really bad to make him not want to play for them.
Yeah that is true or he could decide to play for Spain too since he has grown up in Spain...having been there for more than 10 years. But if he were to play for Mexico though, he could be like the Mexican Messi
He’s Argentinian, he’s only Mexican on paper. He’ll choose the Argentinian national team any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
If not Argentina, he’ll play for Spain before ever suiting up for Mexico. Won’t stop Mexican media from milking this story though.
That is my point being that Mexican media and their FA will try to convince this kid to play for Mexico
https://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/...e-la-seleccion-mexicana-le-presentan-proyecto Stop, just stop please. It's like the FMF has no dignity, who are we kidding they will do anything for money. It's getting embarrassing, like simping over an ex-GF. Maybe, just maybe if they did a better job at player development they would not have to grasp at straws to bring in players with the most tenuous connection to the country (accidental birth).
The FMF has always been shameless. This is right on cue with the rest of the stuff they do. I mean, if this kid is half as good all the hype is about, you gotta at least shoot your shot and recruit this kid into the NT.
