Honestly , James and JuanFer are the only ones I really trust in Yellow for PKs.
Even Diaz missed one in Ecuador that could have given us a win in Qualifying.

    James has missed as well.

Venezuela in the last day of the 2022 qualifiers. We got a retake but his shot was still blocked.

I just hope he scores a bunch of goals in the World Cup. Anything after that is gravy. I have no expectations for him at all other than this summer.

Gold boot winner hopefully... in a dog fight with Luis Diaz :)

offensively we at looking really solid.... just defensively hoping for the best.... but Chile won 2 Copa Americas with 5'6 Gary Medel at CB.... best defense is a great offense

Defensively we are okay. Maybe not as good as previous cycles but still better than most National teams in this World Cup.
There's not too many teams outside of the Big contenders who can say that they have not been blown out since 2019. All of our loses have been very close one goal losses and we really do not give up more than a goal or two. At Uruguay was the outlier. A heartbreaking 3-2 loss at the very last second.

yeah but a lot of the defeats or ties have happened at the end of the match, mostly because of the delayed response of Lorenzo and also individual mistakes. Argentina, Brasil, Uruguay even that Paraguay game at home.

Those are very good teams or were very good teams when we played them.
Argentina was Lucumi clumsily falling down and everyone going to sleep and Mier being Mier.

The Brasil match was more of a fluke than anything. Davinson and Vargas colided and both picked up injuries. Davinson had to be taken off the field. Brasil had like 7 substitutions which was unprecedented. And they scored in the 99th minute of stoppage time.

Paraguay was complacency and Vargas was later found out to have been playing with a meniscus tear which kinda showed on his goals allowed. Not really defensive lapses per se.

Uruguay was one that just really hurt. Not many excuses for that other than that place is usually a house of horrors for us no matter how good we are.
