He has the killer porcher instinct like Falcao the more I watch him play. Though without the heading nor the magical weak foot.
Like Falcao? Well, positioning, timing, right place at right time, good technique to get low shots on target yes. But he also does not have the Athleticism and and true skill to work around a keeper and make him pay. One of the many things that made Falcao so good is that one-on-one he would pass by a keeper like it was nothing. This guy just cannot do it as consistently.
He doesn't need to finish like Falcao to be good - Falcao is the best finisher we've ever produced and even he didn't develop his left foot until later in his career at ATM. I am encouraged by Suarez's development at Sporting - he is running through tackles and carrying the ball much better than I recall earlier in his career and that's just confidence. That's 15 G+A in 19 club games all comps this season. Wonderful.
Suarez always works the goalie at worst in his chances, not the most athletically gifted guy but he's really developed his all round game so he's good at everything and isn't wasteful if he gets a chance he's composed and makes the right decision. Creates for others and isn't going to give away the ball or get dispossessed easily, he's just developed into a solid player and made the most of what he has.
