I thought this season was going to be Muriel's best and he finally gets rid of his inconsistency. He has scored a good amount of goals but the inconsistency is still there. He is consistent with his inconsistency.
Hmm i think isnt his fault...........Gasperini only see him as 9 and he prefers zapata for obvius reasons............since the begnning that muriel was scoring he never got a fair shot............nothing to reproach to gasperini that is a genius to play offensve football..........b ut i think is a similar case to lozano and gatusso.....the mexican is a good player but isnt of the style of gatusso.
Maybe you are right. I haven't been following Muriel very closely. Still a bit weird not to get playing time when you score a lot of goals.
Muriel has been really good when he's played, but Gasperini builds around Ilicic, Gomez and Zapata. Not Muriels fault really.
Lineups announced for today: Both Duvan and Muriel on the bench. With a 4-1 aggregate lead I wouldn’t read too much into it. Although I would like to see Muriel get more playing time today.
Yeah its tactical, they don't want to risk being too open but I'm sure Muriel and Duvan are likely to get a chance to get themselves a goal at some point in the second half.
Came on with lots of energy, but perhaps too much. Clearly wants to be starting, so he over-dribbled and fouled a bit too much
Just scored a ridiculous first timer from outside the box and minutes before had a ridiculous first time volley from outside the box robbed by great save from the goalie. Everything leaving his boots is gold today.

He is really impressing me with his free-kick improvement and long range shooting improvement. Makes me feel a whole lot better since it seemed like only James or JuanFer could be depended on for such things in attack. Sometimes Cardona too but who knows if he will ever be called up again. I am also very happy he scored in this match. Against Lazio he provided a good hustle and pace but just could not put good shots on goal. He also looked so gassed by the end of that match I thought he may be injured. Maybe today proves he is just getting back into match fitness and rhythm.
