Re: The Coaching Situation (Round 3)

Looks like there are some problems with Luis Enrique. He asked for some corrections to be made on his contract, Sabatini has made them, and sent the contract back to be signed, but for some reason, Enrique still hasn't sent the signed contract back to Sabatini, who is reportedly losing patience. That's why he has been looking at Giampaolo.
But don't worry, Giampaolo is signing a new contract with Cesena tommorow, and I beleive there was just some mishap with Luis Enrique, and all will be done in the next 48 hours.

Athletico Madrid is watching Enrique's situation also, maybe he's just waiting on there offer and then will compare to the two, but I'd imagine our new project is much more promising and suited to him

I just want this done. I want to know who our new coach will be. I want to see us start signing new players so we can reduce the speculation on this player and this system, etc. The constant delays and wait is killing me.....

The deal is done. Luis Enrique will be made official either today or tomorrow.

Luis Enrique spoke with Sky today:

"I'm happy with my decision and enthusiastic to marry the Roma project. It's a winning project just like me. I'm an ambitious coach and I want to win. I will play and offensive, spectacular, football and hope to bring lot's of people to the stadium to have a good time. In Italy they don't know me, but in a year they won't have any doubts. The facts will speak for themselves."

"We are in total agreement with the club, all that's missing is the signature. In the coming days I will fly to Roma, no one needs to come here to Barcelona. I will try and work with the best players possible, those I find there in Rome and those I'm able to bring with me from Barcelona."

DCUroma...that guy is getting played now bro. :)

I like Luis confidence...seems like he wants to play a particular style of footy and wants to prove people wrong. Ultimately, there's only so much he can do...if we don;t make the necessary personnel changes, then he can blow smoke to the media all he wants. We will have to see our first preseason exhibition match to see formations etc. But, i do like his confidence...from the brief statement, looks like he's a true leader in command. (Watch out Totti lol)

He will have all the players he needs. What else was the point in signing Sabatini? ;)

Welcome Luis Enrique Martinez, hopefully he is the right choice. In Sabatini & Baldini we trust.

I been against the descision, but for sure I cant but support this ends great.

The new era officially begins...let's hope things work out with him. At least it can't be as bad as Montella.
