For second I thought he was playing barefoot against a guy with cleats. I'm like this guy has balls.

If only we could find someone to consistently cross like that from the right side.

Well. We have prob the best inverted crosser in the world...just looking for a club and a way out of his passive aggressive battle with our NT coach...

Aside from James, Valoyes and Sinisterra should be able to do that in time! I believe in both and just hope we start to blood them in what's left of qualifying.

James is dead to me until he stops being stupid and battling with the coach.

Not sure Valoyes can learn how to cross like that but I hope he can.
Sinisterra is very good but has been playing more of the left side and even 9 lately.
Not sure he can cross like that either but I hope he can learn.

THAT cross I think any of those guys can do. It's a question of doing it consistently!

Doing it consistently and getting Rueda's blessing to play.

Sure - but while we are at it, I'd love for Lucho Diaz to perfect his cross too!

    True.

But as long as Diaz plays like he did in the summer he can never cross the ball for all I care.

This is what Porto is playing today, that's a very offensive lineup

wondering how we could play Diaz and Sinisterrra both on our left side

I think if they play on the left together within Rueda's system it will probably be extra offensive not defensive. The four striker formation against Uruguay for example.

Rueda always wants a LB that plays hard nosed defense though in a 4 man back line like Tesillo and Farid Diaz at Nacional.

Goal for Lucho in what looks like a tie for Porto today.

Note the comment from Lowy on how Porto is deploying Lucho to get the most out of him. I absolutely think he can play the Goosens role if we ever go three at back and it would, coincidentally also allow us to use C4 in his best position too! Alas, will probably never happen as we are obsessed with four at back...

Diaz seems to be the best player I have ever seen at scoring goals while falling down/sliding parallel to the ground.
He has it down to an art form and a science.

Yeah. Maybe Pitufo de Avila also had random angles and scored a bunch falling down and Falcao had unique body control but it's different for Lucho because it's a high concentration of his goals that he scores this way. Just amazing concentration to do these at high speed.

You just described my first indoor co-es soccer goal from 2011. It was both ultra embarrassing and comical

Díaz is a poet in that regard.

This would mean likely playing out right and forming a pretty formidable front 3 alongside DCL and Richarlison. Though there are rumors about Richarlison leaving. Big one being that PSG would go after him if Mbappe leaves for Real Madrid.

Hate the EPL since its been so bad for many Colombian players, but Diaz fits the premiere league style. No European football which sucks, but its a good stepping stone team if he succeeds.
