I’d go with the formation that he went yesterday just James in place of Cardona

It is setting up to be that way assuming James gets healthy and does not make horrible decisions.

We do need someone with better vision playing in the midfield. I guess by default it would James for now. I do like Cardona. He is extremely gifted player but slow as you can get and not in physical form. I would turn him into a 5 and make him loose 10 pounds.

Cardona is not disciplined enough defensively to be a 5.

just saw highlight of Atuesta is exactly what we need. I hope he makes the jump straight to Europe. He is talented.

    Back to topic...

Lucho Diaz crack! He is hard worker and humble which will take him far.

well he's already in the MLS, so there's no 'straight to Europe' route for him any longer. I think he had extended his contract recently. Solid player but needs to be tested in a tougher league.

Yes, except also, no Murillo. Give me back Davinson or give me Lucumi or Cuesta...

Diaz for sure has earned his spot. What an evolution from his first game against Peru in this call up where he looked so uncomfortable on the ball in the first half.

It’s not entirely up to Díaz, Porto does this with every foreigner, just like with Falcao, James, Jackson etc…

    $$$….

    actually I mean €€€

ridiculous he's not. Probably only Brazil and Argie's are allowed to have more than 1 player.

I'm not too much a fan of The Special One, but Roma would be a nice fit for Lucho and I think Mourinho would like his style (crazy work rate, scrappy and efficient with scoring opportunities).

I'd just be happy with Diaz starting all the major Porto games.
