Lucho starting on the bench today. He'll probably come on if they get in trouble.
Other first team players benched today are Robertson and szlobozlai.

Good for the selección I guess but would've liked him add to his fine goal tally this season.

Didn't know he was such a big fan of luchos. He kind of mocked Almiron a couple of years ago. But maybe he was right, Almirons 15 minutes of fame is probably over. He had a great spell a season or two ago where he scored in every game and now he's a sub and I even heard rumours he's going to MLS.

I mean he's 30 already, probably wasted his best years in MLS unfortunately. Thats the risk you take going over there.

Lucho benched. Gakpo starts. Hopefully they can win without him so he can rest a little ahead of CL.

what a difference when guajaro plays on the left, Gakpo looks like a donkey when he tries to move with the ball, so slow and awkward.

It's totally different. Gakpo should not be on the wing ever. He reminds me of Havertz

Liverpool are currently on top of hte league; even if Manchester City does not lose, draws can be just as harmful.

Got so irritated when I saw shitty scoring their winning goal in the 90+5 minute.

Two "colombian" teams with the best defence in their leagues by some margin. Liverpool and Juve. Both have received very few goals.

With the draw they are now a mere point behind Manchester City.

yup although as Arnie says, they do need to be winning a couple of these away games against title contenders if they aspire to win the league

Slot has an obsession with his countryman. Lucho should have been given a full 90 given the fact Gakpo started the last two.

Liverpool has a REALLY tough schedule. This is only the beginning. I don't care if they sub him out or if he shares the minutes with Gakpo. Luchos style of play provokes opponents to kick him down much more than Gakpo and other players on the team. I have seen no statistics of this but it wouldn't surprised me if he's the most fouled player on the team. At least when it comes to really tough challenges. A bit like they treated Saka today. So he must be protected, the colombian hospital is full by now.

Soon their schedule will look like this:

    Leverkusen home
    Aston Villa home
Southampton away (only "easy" game on paper)
    Real Madrid home
    Man.City Home
    Newcastle away
    Derby against Everton.

Many difficult games and Jota injured, Chiesa injured, although hopefully none of these games will be worse than the one they had today. Golden point they got.
