Isn't it strange that they are the only team from the eastern side of Russia to play in the RPL?, I'm fairly new to the RPL and was wondering why there are so few teams from this side of the Country, is it down to the majority of the population living in the west or some other political reason?

    Please somebody enlighten me:confused:

It's like Alaska - far away from main country, small population. Plus it's 7 time zones from Moscow.

It's not that strange. The population in Russia isn't like the US where it is distributed relatively evenly. It's really not even close. I think Vladivostok is the only major city on the eastern coast. And even if there were more teams the traveling is probably almost equivalent to going from the U.S. to Russia (euro side).

Thanks for the reply and for the info, the population distribution makes sense I suppose as well as the traveling, must be tough for Vladivostok away supporters.

I know that for Russian fans a trip with their team to Vladik is the most honourable deed.
