So happy for Lucas, you and for coach Maas. What a great victory! (also on a night that RSL played in front of a packed house against a rival, not bad attendance). @Ismitje
Thanks it was a special night and what Lucas thought could happen when he decided to stay in Utah and play for UVU and Greg. A great night !

http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=31736837&nid=968. Nice article on the program and it's impact On Utah soccer feautring some quotes from Lucas .
This is from Topdrawersoccer article on Five big things in college soccer written by Wilkl Parchman Utah Valley making good in first year One of the stories of the season is Utah Valley’s grand entrance to DI college soccer. On Aug. 30, the Wolverines won their first ever game 5-1 over UMass in front of a rowdy standing-room-only crowd of 2,610. Since then, UVU is 4-3-1, including a 2-1 statement win over a ranked Denver team and a hard-fought 2-1 loss on Sept. 28 to a UC Irvine team ranked No. 4 in the nation. Not only did the Wolverines not shirk competition in their first year, but they’ve competed admirably. Unknowingly to most, Utah Valley laid the groundwork for this kind of rapid revival in the offseason. Coach Greg Maas and his staff painstakingly recruited a recruiting class that belied the program’s youth, headlined by Utah Gatorade Player of the Year Lucas Cawley and 22-year-old freshman Connor Salmon. With a combination of hidden gems and outright recruiting coups, Utah Valley is building a winner in only its first year in existence. Whether or not a WAC title is out of reach this season, the foundation is setting quickly.

Well Lucas played every minute in both conference games this weekend which in the end had a hard fought 1 t0 0 win and 1 to 0 loss. The team heads up to Seattle for a Saturday night game with a very good Seattle team. So far so good for Lucas and UVU.
What a tough loss on Saturday night for UVU. UVU changed the formation up a little bit and played a 4 4 2 and lucas spend a majority of the game on the outside. The teamed created 27 shots but could not score and eventually lost 1 to 0 in the second overtime. Lucas played solid but did not see as many touches as normal playing on the outside. Next weekend the team needs a win on the road at Air Force or Kansas City.
