5 min+ with a man advantage. Gotta show some discipline to close this out

Luca taken off in the 90th. Still holding on. Not a starring performance, though if his assist had counted, would have seemed more like it.

I'm just pleased Celta managed to not fall apart at the end. Surprised and pleased.

Luca with the start against Real Madrid. Holding it to 0-0 early.

Vini Jr ends some of the fun after a corner kick rebound and it's 1-0. Luca had been guarding Vini so I guess could have done more.

And now Luca with a yellow card taking out Camavinga from behind to slow a counterattack.

LDLT had a bit of a shot on a loose ball after a corner, but it was blocked.

Free kick from wide left finds Luca at the back post for a header, but he puts it over the top. Tough first half for him against the best competition he can face.

Yep. On the other hand, if the coach has deliberately put Luca on Vini on a set piece, it's not Luca who I'm pointing fingers at. :D

LDLT out with a hamstring injury. Celta draw Rayo Vallecano at home 0-0 for a point. 96’ shot off the crossbar could have won it for them.

Perfect result, just good enough to keep them safe, not good enough to keep Luca off the field :D

Luca came on as a halftime sub against Villareal, up a goal and up a man. 2-1 lead, and eight points above the drop if they can see out the win here.

Luca got fed at the top of the box, and tries to place it in the lower corner - off the outside of the post and bounces wide. Pretty close.

Villarreal equalize on a great shot by Guedes, who I originally thought was offside, but I guess not.

Celta back ahead 3-2 on a diving header by the sub striker Douvikas. MUST hold this now, up a man.

Villarreal have surrendered. Huge win for Celta Vigo. LDLT was only OK - pretty solid on defense, one decent chance he put off the post, only one really bad turnover that I remember.

LDLT starts against Granada in the second-to-last match of the year. A win would clinch safety; a draw would virtually do so as they have a 12 goal advantage in GD over Cadiz in 16th.

Luca pulled at the half. Had a good chance late in the first, as well as a near-assist that he could have made a better touch on. Doubles sub with Bamba coming on for him, which is an attacking change as they go for the clinch.

Las Palmas still doing CV the favor of drawing Cadiz, which would also clinch safety.
