2 minutes after the 6 minutes of stoppage time Celta handles the ball in the box. The resulting penalty sees them lose a heartbreaker once again, definitely not their year.
I hate this change in the rules. A player kicks it into your hand from 12 inches away and it's a penalty
Celta de Vigo are negotiating with Saudi Arabia to get Gabri Veiga to return on loan. https://as.com/futbol/primera/el-celta-negocia-la-cesion-de-gabri-veiga-n/ I suppose that he has not been able to adjust to playing in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia got their world cup so the money splurge is done, thankfully. https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_...cus-highest-quality-players-cristiano-ronaldo

Luca starting today in the YA Match of the Day, hosting Cadiz. Relegation six-pointer; Celta leave the zone with a win.
in theory, yes he hasnt played well for the usmnt, lately, though hes been very bland with minimal impact for a while now
Match ended 1-1. Luca went 90' and was subbed out in injury time. Cadiz played a man down from 33' due to a red card so disappointing result for Celta. Luca was ok, sort of. Kind of a middle third player.
Starting on the bench against 3rd tier Sestao River Club in the Copa del Rey; I assume because the competition isn’t expected to be that strong.
The sellout crowd of 4000 will have to wait a little bit because there is a problem with the netting not being correctly in place on the goals. Not first division football
The pitch at Sestao was pretty dreadful as well, looks like they had just run the Kentucky Derby on it. But at least there was a constant downpour to liven things up. Celta were pretty lucky to get that penalty. Luca came on in the 82nd minute and did a professional job of helping settle things down to see out the game.
Is he pretty much the most overlooked NT member we have currently? I can't think of the last time we had a midfielder in La Liga starting and contributing to his club (other than Yunus).
Yeah, people seem to review his USMNT performances more harshly than I do. He is noth the athlete that MMA and Reyna are, so his mistakes stand out salient than their mistakes.
I'm saying something. Luca returns to the starting lineup today against Rayo Vallecano. ESPN+ match in the states.
Luca came on in the 72nd and helped Celta hang on for a 1-0 win despite going down to 10 men for the last 15 minutes.
