NEWCASTLE PLAYER LUALUA CLEARS VIERI'S NAME - inter.it

"The story today which claims Christian Vieri called me a monkey is not true," said LuaLua on the Premier League club's official web site. "I have not spoken to The Daily Mirror, have not ever said the word 'monkey' was involved in the incident on Tuesday, and certainly Vieri did not say that to me."

The Magpies player added, "I am very disappointed that this newspaper has distorted the truth of the matter and written totally incorrect information in order to sensationalise the story. The incident has been placed in the hands of UEFA, and I have no further comment to make."
