Seven times in our existence, we've had a player lead the team in goals without breaking into double digits. And given we're more than halfway through the season in 2022 with the leading goal total at three, it sure looks like that will become 8/18 seasons in single digits. The single digit years, listed from top (so, nine) to bottom (six): 2016 - Yura with 9 and Plata with 9 2005 - Kreis with 9 (second is Andy with 5) 2015 - Javi with 8 (second is Sebastian Jaime with 5) 2020 - Damir with 8 (second is Meram and Rusnak with 3) 2017 - Yura, Luis Silva, Rusnak, and Plata all with 7 2008 - Yura with 7 (second is Findley with 6) 2007 - Findley with 6 (Chris Brown in second with 5) I suppose there's a small chance someone goes on a tear, and by someone I mean Jefferson. He is tied for the lead with 3 (with Cordova, Meram, Glad, and Wood) but has far fewer minutes so far. What do you think? Is Findley's "record" in danger?
Seems like it is. Cordova and Savarino both at 4 goals now. Sava is doing really well since coming back so I can see him passing 6 easily.
Here's how many points each of those years had through 22 games. RSL has 33 points this year: 2016: 34 points* 2008: 30 points* 2015: 29 points 2017: 24 points 2020: 22 points 2005: 19 points 2007: 18 points So in some years, the teams have been poor. * denotes years the team made the playoffs.
I can’t take credit for the chart. Putting it together represents work…which I avoid. Kudos to @SpiffCoug for putting it together and posting it.
