Maybe, just maybe some people will now get WHY soccer can be so much fun even though a game may end 1-0 and not 110-98 or 10-5 or 41-14.

But I'm not sure they will since most of the soccer haters probably didn't tune in for the game anyway.

I would like to see any "Now I get it" articles by any Soccer Haters that finally may understand what it is all about.

(edit: Sorry just realized I posted in N&A, meant to go in regular US forum)

    1. Dude, you have to learn to stop caring what "soccer haters" say.
    2. You're preaching to the choir, nobody who hates soccer would be posting here.
    3. That's like 20th thread you started.

I wish this could be stickied everywhere...don't care about tv ratings, don't care about press, don't care about the average joe fan and definitely don't care about trying to convince anyone to like the sport.

I saw a few comments in that direction on the San Francisco Chronicle (AP) article on the game. Several people who'd been dissing soccer in their previous comments coming on and saying stuff like, "Alright, not a fan, but that was an exciting game." Seriously, anyone who couldn't enjoy that doesn't deserve to.
