He is a real spark plug and seems to energize the club. Do you think he is more effective starting or off the bench?

Despite his legendary "Super-Sub" status, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is one of the top 5 strikers in the Premiership. He should be starting games for us every week. That way, we don't have to wait till there are 5 minutes left to score 3 goals in the game...

    Love Ole period.
Name an EPL or even any pro striker who has his work ethic or devotion. Just one. There are none.

Shevchenko of AC Milan has a very similar work rate to Ole, Coming from very hunble roots to become one of the most potent strikers of his day. Neither are glory seekers, but due their job day in day out.

The problem is that he doesn't mix well with van Nistelrooy. You have two excellent striking players but little interplay between them. A good striking partnership is more than two good individuals particularly when they merely duplicate each other's skills as these two do.

Personally i think Ole does so much more for the team coming on at the 70th minute. His reputation alone may motivate the team, and possibly make the opposition a bit more cautious. A team that has contained RvN and Forlan (the latter being naff anyway) for 70 minutes may be a bit confident, as soon as Ole comes on, they realise his reputation and what he's capable of, and defenders focus on him, giving RvN a bit of freedom. On his day, Ole is definatly a top premiership striker, but he has only a humble reputation compared to Henry, Owen, Nistelrooy etc...

It's like what that bloke said - Arsenal do it in the first ten minutes, man utd do it in the last 10 minutes - adding a fresh Solskjaer into the mix, given that most man utd do better near the end of a game, is likely to scare the pants off some players.

As for his relationship with RvN - sometimes it's awesome (like most of last season), and it all goes a bit wrong when one of them is misfiring

against great sides like Arsenal, i reckon he should start games, but against say, WBA or Haifi, he should start on the bench, imho
